Expo Trailer Maiden Voyage, but truck now sags?? HELP!!

I know everybody wants to see pictures of the maiden voyage of my set up and they will be posted at some time, but i have a question before my next trip. I have the toytec boss lift kit. boss coilovers up front and the boss leaf pack with boss shocks in the back on my 05 dcsb. I absolutely love how the truck drives, but now that i have a trailer it sags bad to the point where i can fit only about two fingers between the bump stops and my frame and the frame shows signs of wear. I have also felt the back bottom out when hitting bumps. I need to fix this. this is a small expo trailer so not a ton of weight but enough. I know i could get a new leaf pack like the Dakars or allpro expos but i like my leaf springs and how the truck drives on and off road with the boss kit, so i really don't want new leaf springs, and they are still relatively new. I also live at 9k in the rock mountains so reliability and durability are important to me. I am not feeling the airbag set up like a lot will recommend but i have found hellwig helper springs. This looks like the perfect solution, but it seems like no one uses them why? Their are alot of smart people on this forum let me know what you think. Lastly I also have the u bolt flip kit and was wondering if i go this rout will this springs actually work now that i flipped everything. Thanks alot for everyone's input.

Just noticed you have a flip kit. There is a flip kit sumo spring available thru lowrange, but it is pricey

It sounds like you have a lot of weight on the hitch, but I wouldn't think tongue weight on that trailer would be high. Any chance you have the hitch dropped too low and the trailer tilted forward? I can't tell from the pics.

I have the timbrens on a Tundra now and they work perfectly, for me. But your driving needs may be different

Normal driving I never notice them. Went to a machinery auction last weekend and bought a couple thousand lbs of stuff. Had some on the truck and about 2,500 lbs on a enclosed single wheel trailer. Don't know the exact weight but was heavy.

They worked fine. The Timbrens did.

Some people say they are rough on a rough concrete road, when empty; I don't see that and I live a a township road, just one notch up from dirt.

Just giving you my actual thoughts. They work for me. The distance between the Timbrens and the frame DOES matter. As does the product, you are looking would matter also.

I don't think so. when i am on level ground trailer looks to sit level. I have all my water at the very front of the trailer though. would it help to move the water farther back in the trailer? this is my first trailer so i could be loading it wrong but i thought heavy stuff up front.

Looks good man. Just maybe smooth out Dodge on the tailgate and put a Toyota decal on there haha.

dont move the water farther back, you want that water towards the tongue. If its farther back, theres a chance the trailer my start swaying at higher highway speeds.

I would think airbags would be your best option. Inflate when hauling for increased capacity, deflate when daily driving to maintain your current setup. There are onboard air compressors you can install as well and control the PSI on the fly.

 

they definitely seem like they will work i just don't like the idea of airbags. my dad has them on his Sportsmobile and they are nothing but problems for him so i was trying to avoid them. I am really debating on trying the Hellwigs and seeing what happens and if they will even work with my set up or just suck it up and get some Dakars and sell my Boss leaf packs. I just love how the truck drives the the Boss packs so smooth.

 

My Dakars ride way better than my OEM packs with the 3 leaf AAL.

Night and day improvement in ride quality.
