Thank you for the compliment. It's appreciated. I would love to make a few more sets just to mess around with some other ideas I have but unfortunately I don't have the time to do stuff. These lights took me a few weeks to do in my spare time and I still haven't installed them after 2 months cause I need to do the black headlight mod first or it'll look off. Lol.

Did the tails come apart with heat, or do they need to be cut open?
I am going to do something similar but with full LED boards/strips.

You can't heat them apart like headlights. They are fused together from the factory so it takes a little more guts to get the Dremel out and cut apart a brand new set of Limited lights. I sat around for hours trying to figure the best approach and ultimately just said screw it and started cutting along the inside lip of the black plastic housing. You can try cut along the where the clear lens meets up with the black plastic but from past experiences, for myself, I had too difficult of a time getting a nice cut line and when I ended up putting the pieces together you could see the messed up edges of the clear plastic where it sealed to the housing. the way I do it now I keep a nice seal where the clear meets the plastic so it looks clean from the outside and I use black silicon to seal the unit back together so the silicone matches in with the black housing. It's more difficult to see the mating line that way.
There is plenty of room for the LED board in there especially if you choose to get rid of the back reflector too.
