    Today is my Friday. Not sure if I want to go into work tomorrow or not. I have things to do here at the house I should probably take care of so I'll probably stay home.

    It pays better than staying home. But I think I'll take care of stuff here at home

    I would make a bet keeping the significant other happy getting things done at home pays better then a few extra bucks in the checking account :}

    Speaking of a Few Extra Bucks..

    I went a retirement briefing today just to check out when I could go we have a 25 year retirement but medical is covered 100 % at 20 which I hit in June. Anyhow you would think I was asking for state secrets or something. I asked what is the percentage loss for each year under 25 .." Why would you want to do that" . I have other income from Military and VA so If the numbers are right I might go next year " You can't take advantage of the 25 year retirement percentage multiple if you go early" . Again I say look I am ok with it I just want to know how much I loose " .4 percent for each month under 25 years but you are only 50 so how will you make up the loss in retirement" umm did you hear me when I said I have other income??? " Oh yes I am sorry you would still leave a lot on the table leaving early" . I said with medical issues I am not sure I will make 4 plus more years with out being really messed up if I keep up doing what I do .." Oh you would be better off taking long term disability it counts toward your years then when you get to 25 retire" .. Yeah and get paid even less then if I retire early for a few years " Well yes, so if you can keep working do it till you can't then go long term disability for the last year or so" .. It does not help that they are SCARED shitless about how many people in my job class are eligible to go some where north of 30 percent of the entire Dept line staff and office included. This briefing Is held for regular State employees and my dept though we have totally different pay systems, retirement etc etc so the 3 hours was mainly the regular state employee information not my Dept. So all of us from my Dept there 18 out of 45 people had to wait till it was over then stand in line and ask our questions since they did not address them in the briefing as they only affect those in my Dept not regular state employees. Sigh but it was something to do ..

    My wife's work schedule varies. She can go to work anywhere from 0700 to closing at midnight. She one of the front end managers at the local Frys (kroger) grocery store. So unless it's a weekend I usually don't plan much around her schedule and she was just off today and she rarely gets 2 consecutive days off.

    But I do need to get new flood lights for the backyard, trim everything in the front yard, clean the driveway, fertalize the front grass, clean the front walkway, pick up the backyard...everything I've been putting off till cooler weather. 89 is cooler than 115 so I guess it's time.

    Been in the 60's to the 70's here in SD. Carry a lot of water for the dogs and try to keep them hydrated but hard to do, the heat is rough on both man and beast. Doesn't look like next week is any better and dry, hard for the dogs to scent the birds. But I am not at work. The worst day hunting is better than the best day at work :D And every day the dog gets better and better at hunting. Going to break his heart when we go home and he sits around all day while I work. Can't say I am going to be found of it either my mind will be on the plains watching the dog run down pheasants and doing what he was breed and born to do. Wait he is a duck dog LOL, ducks are still in Canada and most resident birds have moved South but will try the potholes soon.
