ALSO, my tires no longer pull to any direction now that they have about 2k on them. Straight as an arrow.

Yup. Probably do a snorkel since we do a bit of dusty road travel. Leather interior is high on my list too. ...oh look. 2017 TRD Pro.

I see lots of oilfield company trucks sporting ST Maxx tires, and they rave about how well they perform. It's nice to see lots of good feedback on them here on TW too. I've had a variety of Cooper tires in the past and can't complain, and I really am leaning on the 255-85 r16 for my 2.7L RC. Almost got enough cash on hand get 5 of them next time I get days off.

Is anyone towing with their maxxs? I'm dead set on these tires but haven't upgraded yet because I can't make up my mind on size. 255 85 r16 or 265 75 r16. I'd like to go with the 255s but think it might be too much. I tow a 3500lb smaller TT about once a month.

According to the Cooper website it looks like the 265s run a little big compared to other manufactures at 32.07" OD and the 255s OD is 32.8" and about 4-5 lbs heavier per tire I believe.

Can anyone smarter or more expierenced than me give me some insight? Can the reduced rolling resistance of the narrower 255 overcome it's increased height/weight or is that just wishful thinking?

Thanks allot for sharing! I've been hitting a lot of trails recently so my sway bar has been off the last few weeks, I doubt a little extra looseness will bother me:D. Does your 4runner have the 4.7v8 or 4.0v6?
