I have one, and a 4 1/2" angle grinder, but I wanted it welded back together and rhino lined so it doesn't look like a hack job. It will be worth the $200 I believe.

Yeah man, you definitely want it to be plated, welded back together and painted. Brandon is very good to us locals. stand up guy that does great work

Very nice setup. I feel like that might be coming my way. I was just planning on getting heavy rock and throwing it in my large military bag and putting it in the back. I like your a idea though, you can still use the bed

Good luck with your new truck. Excellent choice of color for the state you live in. Get to work and make that thing a monster.

I was happy with the results. It's less than 4" tall for a low center of gravity. It's flat and tough so you can load whatever on top it. It's pressure treated, so it should last year after year. You can remove the weight and frame easily. It doesn't move around at all. It costs less than $20 bucks to make. x3 (2x4x8 pressure treated $3.57/each) x5 (4x8x16 cap concrete block $1.39/each) I had a handfull of 2 1/2" double coated timber screws. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to really feel 215-220 lbs in the bed, but It's actually pretty heavy. I wouldn't want any more weight back there.

I think i successfully made a "build page". Take a look if you're interested. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/louies-build-2016-trd-off-road-double-cab.417631/
I don't understand the 6in lift. I have a 2.5 in lift and run the same size tires with no problem. We have the exact same ground clearance. So why would someone spend all the money on 6in lift for the same size tires? Further, why the need for the regear? Again, I run the same size tires with no issue. Can you not run 35in tires? That's the only reason I would spend the additional money on a 6in lift and a regear. Tons of guys on here run 285s with stock gearing and a 2.5in lift.

Just trying to understand, because I would like to evenentually run bigger tires and I am evaluating the cost.

In my experience, caster should be set between 2.5 and 3.

Nitro. my front end is def lower than rear so wondering if putting coil spacers to lift the front another 1/2 inch or so will help my issue

oh it'll definitely help. Are your tires making contact with the cob mount of the pinch weld on the inner fender? A lot of people hammer that pinch weld flat which will also give you a little more clearance

Painted the brake calipers and drums red, I like the calipers red but still undecided if I like the drums red. Anybody have any thoughts?
