Well I guess I did something to my Taco today. I blew my subwoofer :( So I guess I'm gonna downsize now, I'm gonna go with an 8" so I can get a more punchy sound. Gotta have that fast response for metal kick drum.

    IMG_1155.jpg IMG_1154.jpg IMG_1163.jpg IMG_1157.jpg

This hit too close to home...last pic is my truck in the background....I think this is a sign, I'm ordering mine tonight :anonymous:

She's really really lucky, this truck was going to be on the highway in a matter of hours

Do you know if those where the original lbj's? That sucks! Glad it happened pulling out from her house and not on the highway.

    Looks like she was lucky.

I cannot believe how under built our lbjs are. Multiple failure points in the same critical safety component. Toyota blew it with those.

Fyi camelback toyota online had the best price I could find for OEMs. Mine came with new bolts too.

Is this LBJ problem only with the 1st gen? I looked at a sharp white dbl 4wd 2nd gen a few days ago. Wondering is Toyota corrected these issues...

They were indeed the originals, with no less than 225K on them!! she babies this truck, bought it new off the lot, and has all the work done at a dealership. She brought it in to them a couple weeks ago because there was a grinding noise coming from drivers side, they told her it was the upper control arm :facepalm:also told her noises like that are common for trucks with her mileage and to trade it in....fuckers

2nd gens have a failsafe design so chances of actually loosing a wheel is unlikely.

Toyota has a open recall on LBJ's. They replaced mine a few weeks ago.
