    I'd probly go 8.5 - 10" barrel. It's more about preference than anything. They're all pistol length gas systems for the most part.

    And lots of people build pistol ARs . A sig brace and an 8.5" barrel is what you seek. Can you say muzzle flash??

    .300BLK was optimized for a 9" barrel by AAC; it only sees a very small increase in velocity for the same load when shot from a 16" barrel, so compared to 5.56 there shouldn't be nearly as much muzzle flash. 5.56/.223 was designed for a 20" barrel, which is why they shorter ones are so loud/flashy.

    I have a video somewhere they don't call it a dragon for nothing...

    has a flash about 20 inches long and about 8 inches in diameter I love when I shoot it the people in the lane on either side of me jump 2 feet....

    I think I paid 300 and change for mine


    I think I have less than 600 in my pistol...can't really remember but 50 for the lower, 50 for a parts kit, 50 for the Shockwave blade, 300 or so for the upper...and then whatever the buffer tube and such costs
