I thought if it came down to it, it was whichever team is ranked higher in the polls? It seems like that was a tie breaker used in the past? Or maybe that was another conference?

In the six years I've lived in Baton Rouge, the environment and tone this week is like nothing I've seen before.

People were tailgating this morning. Coach O has the players and the fanbase motivated and the Tigers are out for blood

 

Coach O has a full time job if he finds a way to beat Bama.

It will be interesting. Lamar isn't going to have any more opportunities to show off on the big stage, and he needs a ton of help to get near the playoff. Padding stats will only get you so far IMO. Peppers is just a freak of nature and absolutely should be in NY. Watson hasn't wowed anyone with over the top stats, but still deserves to be in the conversation at this point in the season. Jalen Hurts is my dark horse candidate (if he can even be a dark horse at this point). That kid is a freak.

 

not taking anything away from the kid, but hurts is just a little unpolished. he is very calm and collected and he is a relatively good decision maker, but his arm needs a little work and I think he gives up on the play a little early some times. I mean he has 1 of the best o lines in cfb so he usually has a few more seconds than I think he thinks he does. if he works on just a few things I think next year will be his year.

 

Also seems crazy that the tiebreaker would be contingent on other teams records.

I don't exactly know the ACC rules, I know they announced earlier in the year they would hire a 3rd party to evaluate and pick a winner when people were talking about a 3 way tie in the Atlantic between Louisville, Clemson and FSU.

 

You are right, his arm needs more work than anything else. But as a whole, he makes this already good Bama team, look that much scarier. Not taking anything away from Coker and McAaron (however you spell it), because their arms were far better than Hurts, but Hurts ability to run obviously adds a whole new dynamic. Something you're not used to having to account for when playing Bama. Personally I think Coker and McAaron were average QBs, who were able to play well at the highest level because of the supporting cast, including Saban.

Over the last 26 games @ LSU, Alabama is 20-5-1.

 

I don't travel to games these days. Maybe when the girls are a little older. I did get tickets to the iron bowl this year, though, so at least there's that.

 

Where is the iron bowl this year?

 

I may or may not have actually gotten chills... and kept thinking "is that vin diesel?" #rideordieorsomethinglikethat
