I'm glad you'll be happy with your new addition. Sorry to hear about getting a new car though.

I'll wave my freak flag proudly when I'm getting 50 mpg while also being to accommodate my GF and daughter with neither of them whining about how fucking small the cab is.

Thanks. Maybe I can parlay both additions into something beneficial.

Fuck small cars and the drivers who can't find the fucking gas pedal. Get out of my fucking way.
See the sign that says "right lane closed ahead" ?
That is not a fucking invitation to buttfuck your way to the front of the line and attempt to squeeze your pathetic entitled ass in because you think you are special.
Fuck Larimer and Weld county for closing all the main streets to and from places that need to be visited while the tard students try to find their way around and soccer moms with head up ass syndrome turn right from the far left lane.

Look at the Prius V. Lot bigger on interior space, you loose the technology package though. The solar panels only run the HVAC fan to keep the cab cooler.

Good luck on 50MPG. Not many people get over 45, unless you drive like a giant douche. Playing around I have hit over 60mpg but speeds, hills and stop lights were perfect.

As annoying as it is for people to intentionally cut ahead of people when merging lanes... Merging areas are meant to be used up until the merge point.

If you have 100 cars on a two lane road and they see a lane ending sign, and get into a single line there, it'll cause traffic to stop very quickly.

If they realize they have to merge, and start to leave a little room and merge one after another at the merge point, people will have to slow down not stop.

It is called a zipper merge, and is the reason why you'll see signs telling people to use their lane to the merge point.

Unfortunately, people race to merge points and red lights...which makes pretty much any idea useless since having 5% of drivers on the road who actually know how to drive won't help the other 95%

It only annoys me when the guy in front of me lets in like 5 cars, or more than one car tries to merge in in front of me.

Are you kidding? you actually cut everybody off because you think you should go first? And the rest of us who pulled over as the sign suggested should just let you in with a smile?

Pretty sure the signs don't say "pull over right now like an idiot and make the traffic jamb extend as far as possible"

I had a last minute merger try to force their way in right in front of me the other day on the ramp from I-25N onto I-70 right before where you have to choose which direction you want to go on I-70. Not even really a merge since all lanes continue it's just a matter of which direction. Well eastbound headed lanes (the direction I was headed) were backed up while westbound was wide open. This douche canoe thought he could just fly up to the front and muscle his way in. NOPE! I wouldn't let him in and waved him off toward the continuation of the westbound lanes. He got pissed but his car was much smaller and didn't have a plate bumper so he cussed me out and proceeded westward haha!

"The idea behind the move is simple: If the right lane ends ahead, don’t move left as soon as you see an open spot. Hold off and make the shift at the last minute. It might seem rude, but it’s far more efficient in congested traffic. So efficient that the Germans, who of course practice it almost flawlessly, have a name for it: Reißverschlusssystem, or “zipper system.”

In theory, both lanes should be equally filled up to the merge point at which point people take turns merging into the open lane.

In practice, most people get over way before the merge point to be considerate and reserve their spot in the line, and everyone who doesn't do that is the asshole.

    Aero is right: http://www.coloradoan.com/story/news/2016/09/20/everything-you-know-merging-wrong/90747694/

However that doesn't mean I still don't get annoyed every time it happens. Or that I don't join truckers in creating a rolling roadblock in certain interstate situations. I think the ones that really piss me off though are the jackasses who pass me on the right and cut in, either right in front of me or even a few cars up, when there's a very obvious and open gap for a proper and safe merge RIGHT BEHIND ME. I see this every morning I drive to Loveland in a couple of spots. I always wish for a cop to be doing some traffic enforcement, and say 'see, I told you' when I see said passers stopped at the same light I come up on as it goes green. Because signal timing is a thing.

And it works great as long as someone doesn't think it's the line for the drinking fountain at grade school and the guy next to them is "cutting the line"

That same person probably thinks it's a terrific idea to enter an intersection that's backed up on the other side so that they block cross traffic when the light changes.

Merging from two lanes to one... And just cutting into a backed up exit like that clown are different issues.
