If they have the part you'll be in and out in an hour. No biggie. Good Luck.

If it was blinking, why did you assume it was engaged? Just sayin'.

Wasn't paying attention is all. It's blinked while it was engaged before, vice versa. Again, there's something to be said about the days of manual engagement. Turning a switch on the fly is easily taken for granted.

these 4x4 threads got me thinking how little I use mine! :D

Just ran out, found a straight-a-way and put it in 4HI, seems to lock in(stop blinking)
faster than the 2011 I traded in, flashed for like half a second then went solid. In
and out, worked like a charm.

Electronic shift in these trucks is bullshit. I use it everytime I back up my driveway, and it's always a struggle to get it to engage. Press the clutch release the clutch, roll forwards, turn the knob back to 2wd.

It's about as frustrating as an iPhone update.

I bought an SR for simplicity, last thing I ever want in a 4x4 is anything electronic.

Good news. I change the oil, but they're gonna do the 10k service as well. I won't need the truck for a few weeks, but I'll feel better if it's a simple fix

The twistknob setup has been a problem going back to 2nd Gen. Too much fiddling around, quirky, doesn't engage/disengage consistently or predictably. The '05 Tundra had a pushbutton 4WD switch, it worked flawlessly every time, no fiddling around, not sure why Toyota continues with the twistknob when they had a better setup 10 years ago.

And of course manual hubs and transfer case tops any electronic system. Gen I Tacomas had shift on the fly up to 50mph with manual hubs and manual transfer case, the new system can't top it.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
"It's only been a few days. Keep sending him up." Oops sorry, TOP GUN flash back. I'm not sure why it wont engage.
