i might have done messed up by ordering the red pulley and having a CA address. i moved here from WA a year ago and still underappreciate the rigidity of the CA-man. are those bastards going to sweat me with the regular URD pulley?

It depends on who you ask. You want to stay on the rich side of stoichiometric (14.7:1)

    Example:

    13.0:1 Rich
    14.7:1 Stoichiometric
    15.0:1 Lean

Rich = Safer for the engine, Less fuel efficient
Lean = More dangerous for the engine, More fuel efficient

I would say if you're anywhere below 13.0:1 you're probably in a safe range. But there are a lot of other factors and a lot more to it. I don't claim to be an expert on the subject.

Ideal AFRs are different for N/A applications versus boosted.

More preparations. Today I'm taking the manifolds off so I can get the wideband o2 bungs welded on.

Good old rusty exhaust nuts. Such fun.

Hey guys I just came across this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I just installed the magnuson kit purchased from Toytec here in CO and have been driving it for two days. As for the BD tuner there are maps for stock pulley, 2.85" pulley, and stock or "performance" transmission if you drive an auto as I do. Let me know if you have any questions. Install took me and a buddy about 15 hrs all said and done.

Thanks. It wouldn't do me any good to install a gauge if I didn't know what I was looking at.

I had a muffler shop weld on my bungs today because I wasn't confident in my Harbor Freight welder and my own welding skills (or lack thereof). I installed the first header and as I was tightening the wideband o2 sensor the bung twisted right off the header. WTF!

So I went ahead and snapped the other one off too and Re-welded that shit myself. The welds look like a bunch of boogers stacked on top of each other, but I'm confident they will not leak and there is no way they are coming loose.

Should have done it myself to begin with.

Cool, I didn't know that the Bully Dog came with a 2.85" pulley tune. Thanks for posting.

No problem. If you do a little googling you can find a ton of info about AFR and tons of opinions on what ideal is. But what I posted is just the general idea.

I have questions. Which pulley are you using the stock or 2.85" URD? And, what is your impression of the performance improvement?

What have you done to your truck lately
The 2.85 pulley will give you about 1-2 psi of extra boost.

I'm running the stock pulley and as for the performance all I want to do is drive my truck lol. Its not scary fast but that supercharger whine is addicting. I actually got a few quotes around Denver for the urd pulley install and it looks like it's about the same price as their install tool so I think I'm going to order one Monday. If anyone knows I was looking at urds website and the red pulley and stealth pulley are different 2.825" vs 2.85" I was under the impression they were the same so maybe I'll give them a call next week.

FYI The Innovate PSB1 will not fit the flex pod mount. The front bezel is to large and will be returning it. Looks Ill be doing another search for gauges.
