Yeah... It works when people are able to pull their heads out of their asses and see the big picture. Aka, not many places in this country.

Same with people whining about motorcycles lane splitting... Its not hurting you, it's actually helping ease traffic, but...stupidity and bad driving prevails.

Reserve their spot is what they're thinking.
"Considerate" isn't part of their decision making process :D

That's the same mentality that says "you have something I don't and rather than obtain that for myself I'd like to see yours taken away and that would make me happy"

A few years back I was returning from the western part of the state on 70. About Eagle, we started seeing right lane closed ahead signs. People moved over and slowed down, and a jam began to form. After a couple of miles with no actual right lane closure... everyone and not just the 'assholes' started using the right lane again. And there was never an actual closure of it or signs of workers putting things up or taking them down - the whole mess caused to traffic was just caused by some stupid sign.

Then we get to Vail. Shit starts backing up around the first major exit on the west side of town with the roundabout. Again, right lane closure. This time most people stick to the left lane. It took the better part of an HOUR to get through Vail on 70. We get to the east end of town and the actual closure. Signs posted with a CONSTRUCTION speed limit of 50. We'd come to a dead stop several times, and were barely making 10mph up to the closure, but speed actually started picking up again like 100 yards before the closure, which itself wasn't even 100 yards long. That whole traffic clusterfuck and loss of an hour was because people can't merge and maintain speed.

Nine times out of ten the left lane is faster so just get over sooner and get into the far left lane. Bye bitches.....

That's ok. As long as I can still have fun. I don't care how nice it looks.

Naaa. More like hitting the whoops on a dirt shoulder. Being a real dick, dusting out cars.

Zipper doesn't work because people don't know how to merge, know where the car is next to them, slow down and look at why the lane is closed.

Drivers today don't know where the corners of their vehicle are. They second guess the merge and fuck everything up for miles behind them. The real solution is nerfing. Drive like a tard and someone will move you

I can't wait to cut you off in my Prius on a one lane road only to drive 15 mph under the speed limit.

It was really just more of the same old...grumpy old dudes are grumpy, millenials show up, and the cycle repeats.
