2015 Tacoma 14k miles, been having the 6" procomp lift for about 1000 miles now. Today when I was getting in my truck to leave work the ABS and skid light were on, checked connections, checked brake fluid everything looks fine. Any idea?? Thanks

If I were to guess not being able to check a code I would take a look at the ABS sensors and make sure one of them wasn't damaged during the lift install, and obviously recheck all of your checked connections and check for broken wires at those sensors.thats all I got, maybe somebody else will chime in with more.

I had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago. I shut the engine off and restarted it, lights went out, hasn't happened since. If it happens again I'll probably get it looked at...

Check your ABS1 fuse under the hood. If that fuse blows it will light those 2 lights in your dash. As far as being safe to drive. yes it is. Just be careful if you slam on your brakes you can skid.

The dealer replaced my R front wheel bearing wrong and it was slinging grease on the ABS sensor, I got those lights.

Fuses or disconnect the negative of the battery to reset everything . If the problem still exists get it checked.

Found the culprit, right front ABS line was cut, spliced and fixed it but light is still on, tried resetting via disconnecting the battery but light still on

Dealing with electronic's better go to the dealership or a shop with the right tools. Hopefully it is a cheap fix.

Your ABS won't work, and your traction control won't work. I wouldn't make a habit out of driving with it like that, but that's what you're working with.

After doing the abs kill switch mod (for offroad use) the lights come on when switch is in abs off mode (which grounds the system). Perhaps it is getting grounded somewhere? And of course doublecheck the fuse. Otherwise if its still under warranty I think the dealership can reset for you for free. Mine did when check engine light kept coming on in hot weather.

I have a similar issue; my front passenger side wheel speed sensor was broken during a lift install. Drove for about a month without replacing the sensor, had no ABS or TC. Replaced the sensor finally, cleared the codes, and the lights are still on. The weird part is that the ABS and TC both seem to be functioning correctly at this time, even though the lights are on. I found a video on youtube showing that you could jump pins 4 and 13 on the OBD 2 connector, press the brake petal 8 times, and that should reset the computer and turn the lights off. That didn't work either. So I guess I need to dig into it more. I'll let you know if I figure it out.
