AZ hunting

I haven't hunted 6A for a few years but I have always seen bucks near Beaver Creek down in the southern half of the unit. Never a ton of deer but always a few good bucks.

Good morning Crew. Status check from the 6A hunt. I came back empty handed sadly however I chased deer every day I hunted so I can't complain! Had a few times where I could take a buck but he was either in a dense area where I couldnt take a shot or standing behind a doe. I found most of the action around FR 305 to FR229 and around Stoneman Lake. Opening morning on Buck Butte I had a big 5x5 Bull Elk come to about 15yrds just before sun up which was pretty cool! We also had a nice herd of about 30 Antelope run past came around lunch time on Sunday also. Always nice to see game and spend time with family. Hope others out there got to fill their tag!

Gotta wait a few weeks to find out if it'll be HAM(Archery) or rifle.

Cool. Lots of private land in there , but good public land too.
The best advice after hunting pigs for over 15 years , primarily with the bow is get the best optics and tripod you can afford and glass those sunny hills in the morning. If you glass them and are rifle hunting , it's a done deal. It's a great time to be out in the desert , cold mornings and usually very nice days.

I got hit for $75 by game and fish and I can't figure it out. I put in (paid for) 3 tags for javelina and two tags for turkey... but neither seem to add up to $75!? What just happened??

 

Javelina is 38.00 tag fee. When you initially put in they charge you the processing bonus point fee of 13.00 per tag .
38.00 "-" 13.00 = 25.00
25.00 x 3 -applicants = 75.00

It's either 36A or 37B. Hunted 36A a dozen times for javi and deer. Never hunted 37B.

Anybody hunting Coues in 24b Nov 25th-Dec 4th?

 

I got the same hunt dates but I'm in unit 24A

 

Found out it'll be a rifle hunt next year for Javelina, but I'm still going to run my bow for the hunt. My hunt starts Feb 24th Unit 32.

Shit man I shoot anything with antlers ! All about the meat an a good time! Last year I shot a fork n horn in the head at 60yrds good meat shot instant kill. Good luck to you as well hopefully we have some good weather an not to hot during the day
