LOL its doing it by itself! It's annoying as hell and an internet search came up negative with results. You know I'm mechanically declined so I'm at a lost as far as where to start.

Replace the dimmer. Sounds like an issue electrically there.

OK, in reality, are the lights driven by LEDs? If so then something associated with them are going out. My buddy's porch lights from Costco do the same thing right before they die. Not pretending to know the part

On my way man! Lets train iTunes TM while I'm there :)

Hahaha cool cat! But yeah, I'm not sure. It's hard to emulate it because it happens randomly.

You didn't call or text! I was pretty free yesterday. Thanks man. I got you figure out where to start first. Maybe let it ride out?

I did some very tired reading last night

Possible water damage on dimmer switch
Some people replaced alternators but idk why that'd be a solution

I'd say your best bet is going to be open it and visually inspect it first. (The dimmer switch)

If it looks good, time to get the multimeter out

Unless you can find something online that can pinpoint things to look at

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
have you done anything to your wiring/switches on the inside? Have you added anything on the interior that taps off for back lighting? It is odd that your console lights flicker but your AC and radio lights don't. I need to check the wiring diagrams, but I think the dimmer is just for the ground and not for the power side of things. So it could be a loose wire on your dimmer, or a bad ground.

what exactly are you guys trimming when your tires rub? literally just the spot that its touching? my tires never used to rub, but i just put new rims and tires on and i can hear when when ive got the wheel turned all the way. are you trimming metal from the frame? or some plastic from the wheel well?

Depends on the tire size and wheel offset. I have 285's. Removed front mudflaps, the mini flap in the front of the wheel well, trimmed fender liner in the back of the wheel well, cut my cab mount, and pounded some of my pinch weld flat. I still rub a little bit.

What size wheels and tires did you put on?

im in a 4runner and i had the stock rims on before which were also 17". not sure what the backspacing was on those though. kept the same tires, 265/70/17 goodyear duratracs. ill have to take a peak this weekend and see exactly where its hitting.

@JoeTacoma02 Mike is right, dimmer goes between lights and ground. If you pull it out to look, definitely check the ground connection

    Add another alignment denied.

Les Schwab said my inner tie rod with 20k miles on it needs replaced. Idk. Not looking to rebuild my entire front end on a Les Schwabs word, so taking it to ah actual alignment shop instead. Let's see how things go

    Thanks fellas!

The last thing I've done electronically was get an aftermarket stereo and that was about 3-4 black Fridays ago so I've put some pretty good milage since the installation done by the shop. Man, I just hit 126,XXX miles on the odometer and I was just saying to myself how I've put 100,000 on the the truck since I bought it in Jan. of 09' with no issues.

The light started twacking out a couple weeks ago when I was on Hwy 6, a little before Browns Camp, heading towards Tillamook when I gunned it to pass another vehicle in the passing lane.

How do we even inspect the dim switch? Take apart the whole panel?

Guys, quick! My gf is taking us down to Monroe, near Snohomish for a couple hours but I wanna do some exploring afterwards.
Where's a good trail system down Hwy 2, passed Index and that area?
I know there's a newly built ORV area near Goldbar but I'd rather find somewhere that's not a park.
Hoping to find a place I need to airdown for, and potentially use my shovel and trac-grabbers.
