Well, just traded my 2016 Sport short bed in last week for a 2017 Sport long bed. I had the transmission issues with slipping around corners and huge delays when shifting into drive. Never could get Toyota to check the tranny fluid unless I paid for it.

Have 1026 on my 2017 and just 5 minutes ago I take off from a stop sign turning onto a major road with traffic and mid turn it was like I threw it into neutral! Cars had to brake to avoid me. It lasted for about 1-2 seconds then started pulling again.

After going through the same sort of issues with my 2016 I just want to drive this one through the front doors of HQ!

You could have asked and we'd have told you flares are still going to be an issue until they figure out the root cause, instead of losing money on a trade in deal.

    live and learn?

If you had problems with a 3rd gen before, why go back to another 3rd gen??

    Some people don't learn.

Why would you ever think there would be a difference between the 2016 and 2017?

And what do you mean it was like you threw it into neutral? I assume you had your foot down on the gas, did RPM's suddenly shoot up 2k+ RPM'S with no power? I have a manual, but I noticed the auto kept RPM's insanely low for this engine. If you are coming out of the turn at 1k RPM in 2nd gear no f'ing way you are going anywhere, even with the skinny pedal down, for at least 2-3 seconds until it finally gets up to 2-2.5k RPM. that's just the reality of this engine.

OR... very low fluid.... In a hard turn, a tranny that is low can "suck air", for a better term...and not go anywhere fast...!
First thing to do check fluid level...
Second thing to do if entering a hard turn while flooring this truck....turn off TControl and the other shit and hit the ECT button... She will fly now....!! YOu might lay a good strip of rubber also..! This truck is made to act like it's 80 yrs old and using a cane... you gotta throw away the cane if you want to move...!!

    Good luck
