It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
I think I may have figured out the issue. I had taped the wires to the end of the hanger, so the hanger wasn't sharp, as the end was covered in the tape. I wasn't expecting for it to have to "cut" through anything, but rather that it would just slide between the grommet and the existing bundle.

So I'll sharpen the hanger up, and tape the wires farther down from the end.

    That make sense?

Makes sense. I just slipped it in between the grommet.

In with the existing bundle of wires, or beside it?

And was there a "barrier" you had to penetrate? Seems like there is one all the way around mine. If I reach my finger in, about 1" in there is what feels like a "wall".

Aha! I see now. You went beside the (I'll call it) the penetration tube. I was attempting to go through it. (assuming the wire we're talking about is the black wire with white lettering coming into the top pic from middle left)

Gotcha! Correct the black cable on the top pic somewhere around the 7 o'clock position

Success!!! Everything wired up (and tested)! Now I just need the brackets, and the cube pods.

Where would you mount a cb? 2 choices.

Inside the armrest? Not sure if i can hear it with the lid closed. Originally wanted a stealth mount.
    IMG_5187.jpg

Or on the back of the console? Easier to mount, easier access to dials, but in sight.

I wanted a stealthy mount. I didnt want to just bolt it to the side of something. My cb is very small. But now that im working on the center console, im not sure if i can hear it with the lid closed.

I don't mind it on the back of the console, and because i have an access cab, no one sits back there, but it can be seen. Easily covered though. And the dials are easier to reach.

I'd go with console... Unless there is some way to mount it between the visors...
