Nice looking trucks Greg and Don. My picture of mine was after a snow storm and it was covered with salt from the roads. Had to take it to the car wash a couple of days later':D

    Morning y'all,
From the recent great rains here in N Kalifornia, the creek running thru my acre washed under some Alders on the other side of the creek some more, so they were leaning over the creek bad and touching the tops of the trees on the opposite side. I was worried that with a good snow, they would fall into the creek and force water onto parts of the lower levels of my land, has done that in the past where I gained over a foot of silt in places, had to hire a neighbor that time to clean muck out of my dogs pen. I was out there yesteday cutting what I could reach from my side of the creek, I think with the occasional flooding of the creek, what land I had on the other side is downstream now, although I've heard in Kalifornia, my property line would still extend out to its original distance, not to the middle of the creek. Today, I'm headed out in a little bit to see if my little Kubota tractor can act like a piece of logging equipment and skid the small logs I left intact after cutting the Alders down that I could reach, up to my stacked firewood area. At 14 hp, it can't do much, but is easier than a wheel barrow. Man stuff.
I was out backpacking up at Bucks Lake the night before, maybe 5 miles away from my place, then a 3 mile hike in, down to 27F Thursday night, some frost on my tent in the AM. Fixed some coffee using a MSR Mugmate strainer where you add grounds and pour hot water thru it, it sits down in a cup, so you can let it steep a little, browned a English muffin that was pre-buttered at home and cooked a Jimmy Dean's sausage pattie, no egg this trip. Ahhh, hit the spot. Fishermen were not doing good that I could see, but when I hit the Post Office later on Friday, I talked to a guy who said he had limited out on trout Thursday at Bucks. I also so a Bald Eagle going in, cool.

    Evening all:
    I AM NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad:
Left the house to go BS with Jim and found out he got his buck with the crossbow. When I was coming home, I noticed the neighbors dog was loose AGAIN!
Pulled up behind the house, and there laid the 4 kittens in the driveway mangled and dead, not happy when I saw that. Then the dog came around the back and was jumping at the base of a tree where the mother cat was up in the branches. I told the neighbor in no uncertain terms, that I was upset and that if this ever happened again, I will kill the dog if I see it on my property. If It had got the mother cat also, I think it would have never made it off the property tonight, even if I would have had to shoot it in front of her, yea, I was PISSED OFF!
I explained two things to her since I had gone through something similar before involving a chained dog on our property that a loose dog was attacking. #1, a dog or cat is considered livestock in PA, and you are allowed to kill another animal that is attacking it! #2, if one of those kittens had survived the mauling, and I took it to a vet, she would be responsible for the vet bill no matter what it cost. Maybe those two things will sink in!!
Will see what happens, another neighbors dog killed I think 3 litters of kittens prior to this, I didn't say too much to him after the first 2 because he had his hands full working and taking care of his wife who had a debilitating stroke, but after the 3rd I went over and explained that something needed to be done, that dog was penned but kept getting out, he apparently fixed the problem with the pen because the dog didn't get out after that.
4 litters of kittens killed right by the house by neighbors dogs that got loose and are on my property, HAD IT!

I use it to haul mulch and other things for the garden and around the house, and for chasing when we crew hot air balloon flights. ANd, I'm the 3rd owner.

Sorry, Carl! WHat a terrible outcome from people failing to control their pets.

    Morning all:
YES, I have seen this once too often!
I just got done filing a dog law complaint form with the dept. of agriculture, state of PA, seems like they are the ones that have jurisdiction over this. If nothing else, I am creating a paper trail and have some documentation for down the road, in other words I'm setting them up and trying to cover my butt! ;)
This dog is getting loose all the time, but this is the first time I had kittens when the dog got loose. If the dog rarely got loose I would chalk it up under s***
happens, but this dog is constantly getting loose and will do it again, and again, if something doesn't change. I'm sure the dog would have killed the mother cat if he could have got her, luckily she got up in the tree instead of getting cornered somewhere.

    IMG_2049.jpg

The generator has been converted to trifuel - gasoline, propane, natural gas. Had to break it in on gas and break in oil but the engine is as clean as it was when it was new, running synoil now. Nice part is the fuel mixture adjustment, all gas generators are set for sea level mixture by the EPA. Even though you don't get the full power using propane, being able to adjust with the tach makes it more efficient. #20 tank keeps us off grid for 5 days, with the added solar we are good for a couple weeks.

Keep those reports. It took us almost a year of reporting a neighbor about her off leash dog attacking my wife's service dog while she was walking. They finally gave her a tenth warning with a notice that it would be a $150 fine. Not like the illegal Mexican undocumented person would even pay it. Heck they found the dog did not have a rabies shot and gave it to her free and waved the license fee....
