By removing the lower shock mount, I've been able to turn it another 1.5 turns.

Sadly I'm binding again and my spanner wrench broke. :frusty:

WD-40 and bottom shock removed, problem solved.

Still pissed at the spanner wrench though.

Did you use a autozone spring compressor or a wall mount? The autozone ones sketch me out.

Origannly I tried my Autozone small coil spring compression set, but not needed. Just remove the lower shock through bolt, disconnect the UCA from the spindle, lube the threads with WD-40, and loosen the adjustment collar locking bolt.

Does anyone know the thread to lift ratio on these? my current COs are 2:1. For examlpe if I twist the collar by 1/2" I'll get 1" of lift.

I could b wrong but I think that ratio is correct for the ifs system or very close ,even with spacers lifts etc.

Did you get the extended version? Could it be that it is harder to twist because they're a bit longer?

I think it's coil bind between the collar as well as the lower coil seat, when I tried to adjust my icons years ago on a tundra it would get real difficult until I lubed the collar , threads on body as well as coil contact points on coil seat . That was my experience as well on SAW's coilovers as well

I've adjusted mine a few times, on the truck with nothing removed, not even the wheel. found an old screwdriver with just the right diameter shaft and cut the head off. some WD on the threads and put some elbow grease into it. its not 'easy' but it works for me

So it must be the coating. Hopefully it won't be a problem to get 3" out of them.

Yep that's what I'm looking for if I do get these for my 1st gen xcab. Plz post up pics and measurements u get, as I see u also have a first gen . Seems like 1st gen version has a lot of thread showing between collar and upper shock body ( more preload) than the 2nd gen models

Yeah, I don't get that. I was getting about 3.5" before the UCAs, now it's 3"
Also, compared to my BOSS COs the coils look more compressed and have more threads showing. Even though it's a 600lb coil as opposed to 650. Maybe because it's 3" wide vs 2.5? The BOSS have a thicker top hat as well so maybe that changes things.
