+1 on a stainless steel option.

I bought a hood mount bracket and decided not to use it because of the probability of corrosion. Due to needing a good ground and not wanting the corrosion concern for a CB antenna, I ordered a stainless flat bar to make it myself.

If you guys made the bracket in stainless I would get one for the left and right side for antenna mounts.

+ another one on the stainless. They way too much salt here. I'd go with the CB on the right and the vhf/uhf on the left.

Stainless for me too! The bottle opener will be better without a finish to chip off.

Yep! Only other thing you'd really need is misc. wiring and connectors to connect the radio to the battery.

Also it's very easy to do.

Thanks! so you recommend going to the battery? What about one of those cigarette adapter power supply?

EDIT: I want to try avoiding drilling any holes... I plan on putting the radio in the little open space where that random little light shines into.

You can try going through the cigarette lighter! The reason I recommend the battery is you get the cleanest signal that way. You may get interference otherwise. You could always go to the cigarette lighter and if it's no good, then go to the battery.

Ok everyone, we are hoping to have our CB/HAM brackets available on the website by the end of the day today. Also, we discovered another great use for the brackets as well!

No this bracket will not fit the 2nd gen. We hope to have a 2nd gen version available soon.
