He's in Nevada, I'm in northern Oregon about 5+ hours

I should mention there are a few people in Medford and possibly K Falls now that i think about it. The Klam people aren't very regular on the forum but the Medford guy posts occasionally. Post up in the Oregon/Washington BS thread and you'll get to know people

I lived in KFalls for 4 years while at OIT til 2010. Between living it Corvallis, central NY and now Richland WA I have to say KFalls rocked. Love the location. But WA is pretty cool too.

I lived there about 4 years, 2007 to 2010. Winter '07 was rough, REALLY needed the 4wd. Went so far as getting studded winter tires.
The other winters werent as bad, but with the many hills along the edges of town I needed 4wd and decent M+S rated tires with good tread

My work mostly would be on homedale

I need to see if I can find a cheap place there

    Seems flat land there
Downtown and 6th is far as I need to go
    And airport

If my 01 prerunner with snow tires can't handle it , will have to lease a 2017 utility 4wd AC to make it work

Down there it's really flat, should be fine with snow tires and a bit of sand for weight in the back(and traction aid if needed).
I lived up on the hill above the Home depot there and drove back and forth up to OIT on the daily, plus over the pass on 140 back and forth to my parents place on the coast. 140 and 97 hills/passes can get pretty rough in the winter.

I have lived in Klamath Falls for the last 7 years. Having 4wd is definitely helpful during the winter, but as the others have stated you can get by with good tires and smart driving. There are a few hills that are tough in 2wd but most can be avoided.
I actually live off of homedale, let me know if there's anything else you're wondering about.

I live in Roseburg but am currently trying to find a house in Grants Pass. Actually will be working in Klamath Falls next week but will be driving my work truck. Haven't explored much of that part of Oregon yet, but definitely know there are some cool areas around there to check out for sure.

Yup, still here. Probably will be for a few years at least. Things are going well, the wife and I bought a house a couple years ago and have our first kiddo on the way.
