Dang, I wish I could have joined you all, the last two weeks have been crazy at work so I haven't logged on to keep up with the planning...
Anyways, I plan on installing my new Dakar springs tomorrow.

Guys, please please post a trip report with lots of pictures, I'd love to read about your amazing weekend in Helen!

I am thinking about driving up to Helen tomorrow around noon. Will I see any of you up there? Probably just a day trip to the bald.

That's about a two-hour drive. Which trails are in that area?

Trey is there and depending on which direction you head, there is Charlie's creek, Dicks road, nimblewill gap and some other one I can't remember the name of. Max distance from Trey to one of those is about an hour

Ok, I've driven all except Nimblewill. Bell mountain is now a paved road so the Prius can make it to the top.

Any idea as to what time you'll be hitting the trails?

The plan is meeting at the campsite and hitting trails by 10:00 at the latest.

My wife usually rides along but won't be this time around. She's pregnant and seems to get motion sickness. We did a midnight mountain run through Blood Mountain a couple weekends ago and had to pull over since she was starting to not feel good.
