We refer to it as the "Amazon Effect".

In reality, shipping is expensive. But Amazon has set up this false expectation with their free or cheap shipping. It makes it really tough for small businesses to be competitive in the shipping world. Amazon is moving millions of orders yearly so obviously they have negotiated killer rates with all the logistics companies. Rates through UPS, FedEx, etc are based off volume and weight.

Amazon was facing trouble, not sure where it ever went because when they introduced Prime with free two-day shipping they were trying to force the companies that were selling them through Amazon to eat the difference in rates. I believe the FCC put a stop to that and pretty much told them, you are the shipper, you set the rates or eat the loss.

We often "lose" money on shipping. What the companies charge us is what we charge the consumer. That doesn't account for the time and packaging on our end to ship them. The smaller, boxable items are too terrible but shipping bumpers and sliders is big dollars that we eat with every order. We are constantly in contact with our freight carriers, UPS and FedEx trying to get rates lower and lower.

Hope this clears up the "shipping is expensive" comments and mindset. I am explaining this to educate everyone. Hope it helps!

Yeah but maybe try usps. Cause I just shipped a 6 foot 40lb box across the states priority shipping and only cost me $22. And I think we all know shipping is a killer and everyone knows Amazon kills a lot of vendors, I think we can all agree there. But it's all about supporting the American small business owners

If we order both the long and short locking doors for the bed at the same time, can we get them keyed together so we don't have multiple keys?

Every order is keyed alike. One key opens both, you get two with the order.

So it is possible to get a rear bumper for a 3rd gen compatible with backup sensors? Also, I can't get a calculated shipping cost to zipcode 85281 Tempe/Phoenix area. These are pretty sweet I want one!

    Absolutely.

We are trying to get it finished up now because we have had lots of interest.

    Also, shipping would be $160.

Joe, could you look into something for me. Trying to place an order for powder coated bolt-on sliders, tailgate skin, and upgraded hardware. I enter my zip code (02864) and tax is applied but under shipping it lists "local pickup @ Baltimore MD." Thanks

Our shipping calculator is shut off currently for updates so I have been manually quoting orders.

To ship to you is $135.

Anyone running their rear bumper with swing and have better photos? It's hard to really see it in the photos they provide on the website!
