Do those towers mount to the factory holes, sit on top of the factory roof rack, or do they have the specific towers for a 2nd Gen? I can't tell from the pictures.

I used the factory holes in the roof. You have to pull the ditch rubber back to find them and then drill through the ditch rubber or cut that section out. It was a pain to do but well worth it in the end

I had mine bolted through the factory holes. They do make specific mounts for the 2nd gens that use rubber clamps to hold it to the truck though

Thanks for the update! I don't suppose you know what max weight it will hold? I'm looking to throw a roof basket on it and a spare tire, axe, shovels.

Ok, so these are mounted directly to the stock holes instead of mounting to a FOOT KIT? It just happened to line up by chance and some research? I am asking because I would love to find a corresponding THULE kit to fit since I already have some crossbars...but this is a great deal on the kit you are offering.

I'm not quite sure about the exact weight but I don't believe it would be rated to hold all of that. I could be wrong though

Use plenty of good quality silicone to seal the holes up lol.

Do you have a model number or name of the specific mount you used? I went to install mine yesterday and the holes on my mounts did not match up with the factory holes.

My mounts were custom made out of aluminum, then the rack bolts down to the mounts and the Q towers lock into the mounts, I don't have a number for them though

Yeah I didn't like the traditional clamp on style that can be bought from Yakima. Luckily a member on here had made the brackets and installed it on his truck. I bought it from him and now I'm wanting to go with a Prinsu rack instead. Good luck! FYI the two front brackets have to have a slight bend in them to contour to the ditch rubber

Wow, good info. I was thinking it was a yakima mount, I called them yesterday and they said that the #7 mount might match up on the factory screw holes but it's not a configuration they would support/suggest since its not tested.

Any chance of getting a picture of the custom mount and how it connects up to your system? would you ship?
