    Also spent the whole day up at lake moultrie doing what started as replacing a few deck boards... well that quickly turned into a lesson of "how not to build a dock." The people that built this thing honestly must have been wasted the whole time. Not a single stringer has the same center distance, main stringers are fastened to the pilings by 2 YES TWO nails, and there isn't a single hanger in sight.

    Thanks @dan0mite! I am actually very happy with how they came out. That's saying something because I'm a perfectionist. I went with the flat black but I think next time I may go with semi-gloss. We will see how it holds up.
