Sounds good. We are camping at Brighton and will try everything else. Not surfing. Fuck the ocean there is shit in there that will eat you. My fat pasty white ass don't go in more than ankle deep. :D

New Brighton is a good spot. If your kids skateboard or can do a pump track on a bike they just opened a sweet skate park/bike track right next to the campgrounds.

Not sure if the boardwalk is still open but that is always a fun time. There are some nice hiking trails up in Henry Cowell as well as a small old time train station right next door (you can take the trains for rides but is a bit pricey). Hiking in Nicene Marks is super pretty and easy. Roller skating at the Santa Cruz Roller Palladium. Bowling, laser tag, arcade are all at the boardwalk. Wilder Ranch is a lot of fun for younger kids (goats, sheep, chickens and late 19th century games).

For food, Burger in Aptos has good burgers and beer selection. Also Aptos BBQ since both are one exit down. Little Owl is a new Italian place that is very low key (order at the front then find your seat).

I saw a little pump track on Western yesterday (near the tracks). Pretty sweet to see these spring up. People watching along West Cliff is always worth it.

New Brighton is a great place to camp but I like Sunset Beach too.

    Indeed!

Yes!!! We stayed in Hanalei Bay, half block from the beach. I surfed the point (the reef break out past the pier on the eastern end of the bay) every morning, and Pine Trees every afternoon! Scored a ton of good waves. It got BIG the second day I was there and I paddled out at Tunnels. Shit was MACKING, and it breaks right on the shallow shelf reef. Two dudes were absolutely killing it, basically getting shacked on every wave. I sat on the shoulder and sucked it up. Finally got the balls up to paddle for one, made the drop and promptly got hammered by the lip. After that I had a good sesh. Caught some of the best waves of my life that day!

All in all it was epic. Got in the water every day, got Willa in the water, pushed her into her first wave on a sponge, and paddled her around on my board, she's totally hooked!

Lol. Nahhh, sharks aren't real... They're just made up by surfers to keep you guys out of the water :) have fun down there!

Oh and thanks for the tip about the fish market in Hanalei. Crushed some killer Poke and a few nice slabs of Mahimahi. Some great food in that town. Not cheap tho!

    Hey guys!

I have been pondering the idea of selling my RTT. It's a Tepui Autana Sky, it has an anti condensation mat, extra d rings on the bottom, beefy compression straps and a black cover. Only been used a few times (reason for selling).

For sure interested. I'm waiting on my bed rack from BAMF and planning on driving down to Santa Cruz to purchase this exact tent.

If you're serious about selling let me know.
