How dare Toyota designed these 3rd gens this way! I demand a TSB! Cars are attracted to these things..would not have happened in a 2nd gen!

    /S

Sitting at a red light waiting to turn left. A t bone accident slides into me..still driveable and the plastidip on the grill held up great, the grill did warp though so looks I'll be plastidipping another. I think my light bar is fine but I'll let I insurance figure that out.

    Damn that sucks

Seriously though, people drive like friggin idiots. Driving from Mojave yesterday, I was just cruising along staying out of everyone's way on the freeway. I was almost run off the road like 4 times...

I was going 65+ in one of the right 2 lanes, even loaded down with all of my gear.

How gd fast do people need to go? :annoyed:

The accord intentionally ran the red light because he was in a rush. And he has no insurance...a real winner... Luckily NC uninsured driver insurance kicking in, but leaving me 100$ out of pocket!

Not sure if it would even be worth it... If in won do you think someone too irresponsible to have basic insurance ( when it's the law) is going to pay up?..

May not be worth my time. But I had my front air dam removed. I may let insurance but a new one and sell it to make up some cash.

Looks like the gap line between your hood and fender is uneven.

It may not be worth the hassle, but is it fair that they are not insured and you have to pay the 100 bucks, and then keep spending I'm guessing tax dollars to this fund. Folks like this at least need to hear from the "victim", maybe that will help them realize that their actions effect others.

There was someone I know, that filed a lien on the vehicle of an uninsured motorist with the court. He got paid back real quick!

FWIW I played that game. If the couple hundred bucks is worth the hassle go for it but there is court time and your own personal time that all go into it and at the end of the day you end up getting $2.79/month for the rest of the uninsured driver's life. :annoyed:

Yeah that was my point as well. I don't think it's worth it.

A low profile off-road bumper sounds pretty nice right now but not sure how the shop would work that in!

Just get them to quote a repair back to "new condition" and pocket the money. have them fix what you think needs to be fixed and buy a bumper with the leftover. Probably need a little out of pocket but then its parts time! :sawzall:

Hey OP sorry for your loss there..

Here's how fast... I'm driving 10 over the limit around town 2 lane traffic, some ass wipe passes me on the shoulder right side (where cars park) right before an intersection (thought he was turning right) going at least 60 in 30 zone and kids preschool right there. about 8 blocks down the street there's a red light that's backed up 3 blocks .... he beat me to the traffic jam... I lost again... and those are the types of drivers that don't have insurance.

They drive like they don't care.... kinda crazy.

Just another reason for some bigger badder plate bumpers.
