Off Roading Sunday January 31 2010

Just putting this out there.....Who's down to kick up some mud this coming Sunday? Coral Canyon might still be closed due to the storm we'll be getting this week.

Is anyone down to drive a little ways to Ocotillo Well or Ocotillo this coming Sunday and

We'll work out the logistic later in the week and if more peoples sign up!

Hey Rick as much as I'd love to I'm gonna have to sit this one out , I've made 5 runs in 4 weeks & my Toy is screaming for a good undercarriage clean & inspection, Chassis & drive line lube too, time consuming but neccessary & I'll say that I'm impressed with your jump from slammed hondas to 4x's From what I saw you'll do just fine bro' Everybody starts from the beginning, & you were pretty close to that rock, but you made it just fine as everyone would've, hats off to our spotters too..I'll hit it with ya Next time for sure...............

Im totally down to go to Ocotillo or Ocotillo wells with you bro, c'mon everybody. Lets go have some fun down in the dez. Ocotillo is not that much further and is so much fun. We could also make a stop somewhere and get some grub as well. Derek, I know you want to go, lots of fun trails that are prerunner friendly

Wow sounds like you guys hungry again for some action? There is one good trail in Ocotillo that I know.. Diablo Drop.. I'll be kind of tough for preruners but with the help of 4x4 it's doable.. Not sure if I will be able to make it this time.. Will know for sure closer to a weekend..

 

I might be busy this weekend but if I am not I would like to get out to CC again. I might be headed out to Ocotillo Wells in Feb and for me it's a little longer of a trip. When you are coming from Carlsbad any wheeling trip is long. I will let you guys know when we get closer. Hopefully the ran will not be bad. Matt, can you scope out 4 corners for us??? Pretty Please??? If we can confirm that it is open for sure I would be down to hit it up.

 

I just wanna get out as much as I can before my litttle girl pops out mid feb. I don't care where I go or what I do! It just beats staying at home 'cause the old lady works weekends. Let me know guys, I'm up for anything...CC, PV, OW...whatever lol

 

I'm down for heading out to Anza this weekend. I'd rather do hit up CC than PV if we stay close.

Yeah i would love to hit up CC as well so long as it is permitted. looks like there is going to be no more rain, so i fill it will be open. biut i will check for sure.

Leave the night before. Traffic is such a beyatch up there on the weekends. I got off the 15 at 7:00AM this past weekend and didnt get to hit the snow til 10:45AM. Its ridiculous.

 

Yeah Rick that sounds good. I think more people will go if it is Corral Canyon. So i will definitely go scope it out in the next day or so and let you all know. Ill do a quick fly by and see if the gates at four corners are open.

Does anyone know if the area off the 52 west of the 125 near the bridge a place we can drive around in? I see a lot of trails there and was wondering if it's open to the public for driving or hiking.

 

I doubt it...but I have seen those trail but no one out there.

 

Rick, That is all part of Mission Trails. It is for hiking and Mountian biking. But it looks like it would be fun for off road trails. To bad it is closed off to motor vehicles

 

Hmmm maybe I'll pack my Alice and do some hiking!!! Thanks guys for the reply. Any good word about CC Matt?
