Also a lifelong fan, but I only had to tolerate Bledsoe. Before that I don't remember much, lol.

Maybe, but we still beat the Steelers so the season isn't completely a bust.

Still pulling for them but I still think 10-6, possibly 11-5 is everything falls right or 9-7 if it falls wrong, is the mark for the Raiders this year. They remind me a lot of the 2012 Seahawks, sloppy penalty ridden play at times but when they clean that up no one will want to play them in the playoffs... they just have to get there.

That division is still more to do about the Broncos and Chiefs. I still see the Broncos tanking, which with that defense is still 8-8 or 9-7, and the Chiefs are due for the several week shitting and puking on themselves. Can the Raiders take advantage and open up a game or two lead?

Don't count the Steelers out just yet... The remaining schedule is favorable, somewhat...

Definitely. I didn't think the Ravens would be able to beat the Steelers at all. I measure our success based on how we do against the Steelers and the Patriots.

Steelers seem to be having a problem with bird teams this year. They lost to us too, but I don't count it because they were playing a backup QB.

Yes they've been hit hard this year on offense..Ben, Bell, and the new WR (Coates?) have missed some time.

I'm a loyal Hawks fan and I am super fucking confused what the hell just happened. Wtf did Sherman see there and how did the refs fuck up that call and play after that?

To me it looked as if Sherman was deliberately trying to take out a player by putting a shoulder into the planted leg of a kicker. Ejection from the game would have been lenient. Yet no roughing the kicker???? Im a Bears fan and have no affiliation with either team here but that was a blatant attempt to injure a player

No way that was cheap. To call it cheap it a total anti-homer approach... be real gentlemen. There was no whistle and Sherman reached down to go for the ball, which made him lower his shoulder. He did what any player in that position would do. All 3 guys on the post game said not cheap at all.

Watch the replay her and look for a couple of things without your "I hate Richard Sherman glasses on"

slo-mo replay starts at :28 seconds, 2:25 for the super slow where Sherman clearly gets there first.

    1) There is no whistle until after the hit. As far as he, or anyone, knows it's a live play. Play to the whistle, PERIOD.
    2) Sherman got to the ball, in that situation it's impossible to not hit the kicker. He arrives at the ball at the same time as the kicker. They can't call roughing because he got to the ball. The kicker is fair game there.

Sherman is a douchebag. His play has declined so much over the past two years, yet his ego remains the same, so he relies on holding, cheap shots, and getting away with PI. One of these days he'll stop receiving star treatment from the officials.

He should have been ejected for that bullshit he pulled on Carpenter just before the half.

To be clear, I never said that I think there should've been a penalty called. Im aware of the rules regarding a blocked kicked. Whether or not it was still a cheap hit that easily could've been avoided is an entirely different topic.

If all he wanted to do was stop the kick he would've dove straight at the ball. But instead he dove at the kicker and managed to hit the ball on the way there. Why just try to tap the ball when you could just jump entirely on the ball? Maybe because he knew he could get a free shot at the kicker since he jumped about 5 feet offsides? Nahhhh, he would never do that

Watch the video I posted from 2:20 on, it's clear he's not going for the knee. There's an argument to be made he's trying to avoid the contact, the kicker decides to continue the kick because of no whistle. As he should.

I don't think he would honestly try to hurt the kicker on purpose. He is going for the ball which he clearly touches first. He turns his shoulder at the last moment to avoid being kicked in the head. As the announcers said after the game, any other player would have done the same thing. With that being said, the refs totally botched that whole play.
