We actually got a lot of documentation back last week. They said within 10 business days from last weeks emails. So it's getting close. We sure are gonna miss that car. They are just offering way to much to not give it back pretty much a no brainier. 2013 Jetta we paid 22800 out the door it now has 54k miles and they are giving us back like 21600. Waiting on the letter that's to be motorized. Bad thing is the gave us a range of 55k miles to turn it in so we are gonna have to park the car.

I bought my 2011 golf for 15k out the door with 12k miles on it. They are giving me 19500 at 43k miles. No brainer

It's a shame because I love the car

Just got off the phone with VW settlement folks to get a timeline.

I submitted my paperwork on Oct 25th, which is the same day the judge made the final ruling on the case. My documents have been reviewed and approved. The girl on the phone said that I should receive an official offer either this week or next week. I have a 2012 TDI Sportwagen (fully loaded) with 65K miles. I should be getting back $22,097. It's been a great car, and I used to commute from North County San Diego up to Huntington Beach and LA, so I needed the MPG. Now that I don't have to deal with that commute, I'm 100% getting a Tacoma. In the process of trying to order and put a deposit down.

Just curious, how much deposit have others had to put down on a 2017? I'm going to be ordering a TRD OR double cab/ shortbed in MGM and plan on putting Bilstein 6112's up front and 5100's on rear to level/ lift. Plus upgrade tires/wheels (probably 285/70R17 bfg ko2's with FN Wheels countersteer type x wheels) and a Snugtop Xtra Vision camper shell.

DAMN...I can't wait! Wish VW would hurry it up ;-)

Only car I've ever owned and I'm ready to get back in a Taco!

I'm in about the same boat. Estimated buy back date when I signed up ~late Sep was 15 Dec. I special ordered a new Off-Road with $500 down. ($10k sounds kind of high?)

On a related note, my dad is in the same situation... VW dealer is making a killer offer on a new Passat (He is selling back a TDI Passat) and they are accepting reservations with $0 down. Subaru dealers here are offering no payments for 3 months for any VW buy back customers waiting for the $.

My Father chats it up with the local dealers and always seems to end up speaking with the senior management somehow...

The big local VW dealer here in NOVA told him just to deal with the surge in buy-backs and thousands of potential new customers they hired 10 new salesman and ordered 2,500 extra cars for Dec.

Has anybody actually got a "final offer"? I had everything done and kept everything updated before the settlement date. The 26th I got my e-mail of approval and the "final offer within ten days" bullshit statement. today was day 12. I noticed the new payouts are lower than when I did the online sign up and the estimated payouts back then(was almost $32,000). My new estimated buyback and incentive for a fully loaded 2014 Passat SEL TDI with only 10,000 miles is only $28500? Total bullshit, the KBB back when this shit started was 26-28,000.

Are you the guy that I told did the calculation wrong and you said I didn't know what I was talking about? Whoever it was adding the 6200 on top of their vw number and didn't understand that the I'm sorry money was part of their offer

No, but I remember that guy, he had like a 2011 with 100,000 miles and was claiming to get like $25,000. When I did the online form and filled in the miles and crap their calculation was like $31,800. Unfortunately, their fancy system won't let you go back and look. I have 3 of these damn thing, a 2.0 and 2 of the 3.0 tdi. I don't get shit about my 2 VW's and I signed up on the online thing way back when and check it like every week for the last 6 months, but I get crap from Audi all the time, and it's the oldest of the 3.

did your dealer have a notary or did you have to pay to get it notarized?

that's exactly what they did because Kalifornia has to complicate everything.
hopefully VW doesn't bitch about it.

Did you get the final offer from your dealer or VW? I was told the dealer does the final offer quote, but my local dealer says, no. I was also told the newer the car, the longer before you will actually get a final offer for a buyback. I was told they have a "schedule" for accepting buybacks, with newer ones not even being bought back until after the first of the year according to VW. However, some dealers have taken them earlier. my local dealer sucks, so maybe I should start checking elsewhere?

They haven't done any buybacks at any dealers from what I've herd and the dealers aren't scheduled to get the buyback coordinators until this coming week, the offer was still thru the online portal

I got my final offer on Wednesday, notorized it, and sent it back same day... of course it has to be reviewed yet again. It was sent through the VW claims website. The dealer is not involved until the claim is accepted and your date is scheduled. Make sure to select the EFT option because you will get an earlier date...

Uhg, my docs were approved over a month ago and I have yet to see an offer. Apparently there is no "line" here!
