    I was asked what pressures my tires are at and I thought I would post my response.......

    My tire pressures are approximately 34 psi. But that's for my temperature and altitude.
    Here's how I determine psi:

    Use a big piece of chalk, draw a thick wide line all the way across each tire (across a few lugs), and drive straight for approximately 3 truck lengths on smooth level ground (asphalt or concrete). Then look at the worn chalk lines.
    If worn all the way across, good. If worn only in middle, too high of pressure. If worn only on outside, too low of pressure.
    I try to get equal wear of chalk line all across but prefer to leave slightly higher with a little chalk remaining on the outside 1/2 of the lugs on both sides of tire.
    If inside or outside of tire edges have more chalk missing and still have chalk remaining on other side of tread, alignment is not optimal for even tire wear which can cause refusal of tire warranties.

    I have a set of these Wild Peak 265/70-17 AT3W to be installed (waiting on TPMS sensors for new wheels). My question has to do with "direction-of-rotation." If you view the upper side wall of the tire, the side tread can be mounted straight line (longer part) forward or, slanted line (shorter part) forward. Does it matter? The "aggressive upper side wall" is supposed to protect the side wall from rocks in off-road conditions. I've seen at least one vehicle on this site with straight line forward on the driver side and slanted line forward on the passenger side. Seems to me that you'd want consistency here.tia

    One side of the tires comes with raised black lettering. The other side is flat black lettering. These aren't directional tires so make sure you are consistent with the lettering you choose to be exposed (I chose raised because that side looks more aggressive). If you follow that, you don't get to choose the direction the sidewall points...

    Ah, yes indeed! Decisions, decisions! Thank you for clearing that up. I too will opt for "raised lettering" as it does look more aggressive.

    The raised side lettering also affords even more sidewall grip when scraping for traction on rock faces or hills.

    I have wheeled for years.... Everywhere from slippery, muddy, tree-rooted Tellico in NC and southern GA clay mud to the amazing beauty of the granite boulders and crystal clear lakes with giant sequoias of trails like Dusy-Ersheim and Rubicon in CA and now the steep and narrow wooded trails of Montana.... I've always wanted a tire this good with all of the abilities to work in every terrain.
    ......Finally, a true All Terrain!

    Has anybody experienced a Howling/Growling noise around 30-40 mph?

    I got these in July, and heard the noise coming from the front end as soon as I drove off the tire shop. Long story short front bearings have been replaced as well as brakes & rotors and still getting the noise, and it is driving me nuts.

    How the wear on these tires? I know alot of guys a few weeks back were reporting some pretty rapid wear when they first put them on.

    I've lost little over 1/32 inch in about 4K miles. It's tad surprising to me for a 55k mile tire. But they are still looking good no loss in traction or more noise. Im honestly expecting to only get 45k out of these I think

    What load range do you have? I'm wondering if I'd be better off buying the 265s in E range? More tread plus .300 thousands bigger.
