Leather in an TRD-OFF ROAD

Why does it matter to some of you what somebody else wants or does, if he wants to trade his limited for an OR it's what he wants to do! He may never go off road and only mall crawl it's Ok! If somebody buys a Pro just for leather interior that's their business. Unless you support them, pay their bills and feed them why be so negative with what they buy or do. Until you become the supreme ruler of the world don't worry about it!

 

Not knocking the Clazzios or arguing that they are cheaper but you can buy katzkin for $575 shipped on eBay. They are both great options.

I installed a katzkin kit on a 2005 Tundra DC (first time doing anything like that). Bought hog rings and a plier from the upholstery shop for $10. Install took me ~ 6-8 hours.

The cost and time factor is much closer than you would think. The katzkin seats look 100% factory. They follow the contours of the seat cushions better than Clazzios.

 

Well they better, they're an upholstery replacement, not a slip cover over a cover.

 

I love my clazzios. cant beat it they fit so tight it will fool the best thinking they are real leather seats not just covers. Less than five hundred and with the extra money that would go to the pro model I got a better grill.HID lighting Icon stage 3 lift with Icon rims duratrac tires and toneau cover still have enough to get a c4 fab front bumper and rock rails coming. still have a few hundred to play with. Take that TRD pro.

I am going to order Katzkins with a nice accent stitching with TRD OFF ROAD logo/letters. I don't know exactly when the dealership will get my truck but they cut me a great deal with some goodies to help ease the buyers remorse. I think the PRO is an amazing machine, I just wanted better speakers and a moon roof.. From what I have read online the TRD Off Road vs. PRO is just the shocks and some slight differences. I love my Tacoma but with the Off-Road I test drove on city streets the comfort is still there and it is still capable to go off road. Both are very capable so there is really no competition. ALL TACOMAS ARE GREAT

 

Just curious to those that have installed this ? Do the heated seats still work with either companies ?

yes - heated seats still work. Just takes a bit longer to heat up... I did notice a slight difference in seat height. Even my daughter noticed it. I think it has more to do with the fact that you don't sink as far down in the seat vs the cloth. I have the Clazzios.
