^adidas made the world cup jerseys.

 

Either indo or Canadian are "real" authentic replicas according to Reebok and the NHL. Neither are the ones the players actually wear because they are missing the fight strap.

 

If you believe equipment retailers Reebok might be killed off by Adidas on the hockey business side of things next year. Better brand recognition with CCM. So this makes sense.

 

...dont worry, the authentic replicas won't have the sponsor patches if the team doesn't want to sell them with ads like the WCH.....

....or the patches will be velcro and you can take them to the respective retailers for a discount....

 

Yea Reebok isn't really a niche brand name but when you hear CCM you immediately think hockey.

Plus the entire hockey market is shrinking again right now. Graf is effectively dead, they are selling off remaining stock but the Canadian factory has shuttered the doors, and now CCM and Reebok are the same company. Everyone I know in the equipment industry is speculating that next year all skates, and probably other equipment, will be either CCM or Bauer much like it was in the 90s.

Interesting. The last authentic I bought years ago didn't have the fight strap. I wonder when that changed.

Yes. Nike and Bauer were the same company for a few years. Basically Nike bought them out but continued making the two lines for a bit as Nike, Bauer, and Nike-Bauer lol. Then in 2009 Nike left the Hockey business and sold all the assets to another holding company. They only sold the rights to use the Bauer name alone though hence why we have the current Bauer company.

 

The Jersey is Reebok but it has no fight strap. Real patches though.

All in all what I've gathered is that Reebok is a shit show when it comes to making authentics. They've made at least 3 versions lol.

 

I skated on Graf skates for years. A good chunk of hockey officials use them because they are a tough real leather skate in all black and officials used to get a discount. Once I heard they shuttered the door though I went to Bauers. The new version of the Tuuk holder is by far the best thing in skates since carbon fiber and Bauer will never stop making skates.
