I'm running a 285/75/16 on my stock wheels also. Spacers are a must otherwise the inner sidewall of the tire will be pressed against the upper control arm. You'd find out the hard way the minute you tried to move your truck. I didn't want to run them, I don't love them, but installed and maintained properly, they're fine. Just don't buy cheap eBay junk, buy name brand and read the institutions, that's key to making sure they're safe and reliable.

I had it removed. Then I hated seeing the frame and put it back on. It's kinda grown on me and any little bit to save a couple mpgs.

Trim it just enough so it covers the exposed frame

Alright, so here's the rub. I have a 3" Bilstein lift with SPC UCA's. I have about 3k miles on the lift. I have an occasional light popping sound on the right front tire, that occurs when the wheel is turned to the right and approaching an incline. Like pulling into my driveway. I checked the top nuts on the joints and they are tight. Anyone know what else it could be?

Check the sway bar linkage, I had the same issue, mine was loose. Also, make sure the UCA ball joint has been greased.

That is brilliant I didn't even think about that. Thanks!

I gave it six pumps when I installed it. Can you overpack them? The excess just comes out around the boot right?

    Straight from SPC....

"Grease ball joint with an NLGi #2, Grade LB
    with 3%-5% Molybdenum Disulfide
grease. 5 to10 pumps of grease is
    sufficient at each lubrication.

    Maintenance:
    Lubrication Interval - SPC recommends
adding 5 to 10 pumps of grease to
balljoint at each oil change, or after operating
vehicle in wet or dusty conditions"

Yeah, you should be fine there as far as the ball joint grease. I had very similar symptoms and the sway bar linkage was the issue for me.

fellas fellas, I'm going with the full ome kit and I was wondering the difference between softer valving and firmer valving. Would the firmer be more ideal for 80/20 highway off road and the softer be more for the serious off roader?

Also, the bottom of the coilovers should have cane with spacers to position it even further from the sway bar. My icons did. It said to install the larger spacer to the front of the truck so the coilovers sits slightly further back.

Using the coilover mounting spacers plus the sway bar drop / relocation, no rubbing and no chance of rubbing.

@TacomaTRDSport16 did yours have spacers? Picture of where the strut mounts to the LCA?

Posting this over here to get as many opinions as I can.. running OME 887 with Bilsteins at 0" and I'm getting a terrible squeak when I'm going over bumps and off-roading. Here's a sound clip, curious if anyone has any clues as to what it could be?

That's a clunk not a squeak. Squeak is body mount bushings that I still need to get done they wear fast.

I wouldn't call it a clunk. This is just a lower pitch squeak. Better yet, a creak.

Go over every single but and bolt you touched when installing the lift and retorque them all properly. That's standard procedure after doing major suspension work. Should be done after about 100 miles and again after 500 miles.

Didn't install the lift myself. But I did return to the shop I had it done at to have everything re-torqued at 100 miles.
