Yakima Roof Rack LED Mounting Solution

Just a quick DIY that I'd figure I'd share with everyone. I know a lot of people, me included, are cautious about drilling holes into brand-new or warrantied trucks. So if you run a Yakima roof rack, (I use a LoadWarrior, but I'm sure a MegaWarrior would be fine) these 1'' Bull bar mounts fit damn-near perfect on the larger bars.

I've used two pairs already for a 20'' Light bar and two pods for about two months now and noticed no movement down. However, I have noticed and increase in wind noise, but I think that's because I mounted mine lower towards the cab roof (the fairing gets in the way)
I plan to use another to mount up my CB antennae.

 

I like your solution. I have a Yakima bar and fairing on the cab using the q clips and this might work for me. I'll be looking for the antenna mount too.

 

@Hellvillain ...that maybe the solution I've been searching for!! Could you provide a picture where you're standing at the hood looking back over the windshield at the light bar/pods?

Also, How did you run your wiring from the rack down...getting my wires from my center console switches up to my Yakima rack has me questioning the pros and cons of every path I can think of thus far and no progress made.

Sure, ill grab you those pics tomorrow. And actually I switched from the 22" bar and two pods to a 32" bar, but I'm pretty much using the same set-up.
Off the top of my head, I ran the wires under the drivers side front tower, and down the channel between the windshield and the frame, and then just spliced it into the wires running from my ditch mounts. The pressure from the tower keeps them secure and with the negative wire above the positive in the channel, it hides it. But you do see wires running from the light towards the tower.
I had them sitting up there for a while unwired lol because i couldnt figure wiring out either, but once i convinced myself theres no way to fully hide the wires without drilling, I just went with it.

I'm on Amazon now contemplating a 44" single row placed below the upper horizontal bar...it amazing how cheap this China made stuff has gotten.

 

oh here we go, i dug up this picture from a couple months back, (excuse the finger). not the best, ill get a way better one tomorrow. if your going to go lower bar of the rack, a 44" definitely wont fit, as I contemplated putting my 42" there. upper bar you may be good, i havent done any measurements cause of the fairing
And hell yea Amazons the best! id rather spend the money on a slightly cheaper one and buy a new one when it shits out, then buy a 800$ rigid.
iv bought a 42", three 22",12" and like two dozen pods from amazon for a total of like 300$-400$
