I am considering a 2017 Tacoma, and was wondering if Toyota has worked out all of the bugs.

Really, another one of these threads???

Um, yes, they have worked out all the bugs. The third generation Tacoma is the best, most reliable, etc... Tacoma ever made.

They are still "working" them out in the gen 2. I don't see the gen 3 getting worked out anytime soon

No way! The 2016 problems carry over to 2017, and the 2017 might even have more problems.

    Best to wait until 2025!

Pretty much it, some of those bugs have carried over to the 3Rd gen also.

Depends on what you think you can or can't live with.

I love Bugs, great source of protein.

I also LOVE my 017 3rd gen, 2mths old, 8k miles and "almost" bug free! Rear diff howl (barely) but I've fixed it myself, just stay into the pedal on the right and you'll never hear it!

Once the tranny tsb revision is released, people will only complain about small stuff like not having heated steering wheels.

To some it up OP, it's a machine that operates on 4 wheels to get you from point A to point B, it's not bullet proof and sure as shit not bomb proof, but it is a beautiful and fun machine to drive.. I would recommend the 6 speed Manual if you get one over the Auto.. but that's your decision at the end of the day. If it breaks then it should be covered by warranty, but really don't give it much thought just have fun and enjoy your life. I'd pick a Tacoma whether it be a 3rd, 2nd or 1st Gen any day out of the week than any other brand mid or full size truck out there. Stop hesitating and go buy one already!
