How was my front end lifted?

Been told I have a lift on the front of my 09 dclb trd sport. How can I tell what parts actually lifted it? I also included a picture of the rear end. Looks like a new set of leafs and brackets and u bolts was put in. Any reason in particular could you guys think of? Everything looks stock to me as far I can see but I'm new to tacomas and wouldn't know a stock part from a aftermarket unless it was marked

 

Looks like a spacer in the front. As for the rear looks like a add a leaf

 

Spacer lift. Also called leveling spacers. If you look closely, they are the parts that are bolted to the top of your front struts (image added below for reference). The rear looks like new leafs and u-bolt/plates. Probably from TSB because of the barcode stickers on the u-bolt plates. Toyota techs are lazy.

 

Looks like you got a 1 1/2 to 2 inch strut spacer on the front and the rear is the new recalled leaf springs.

Well you don't want to go over 2.5 inches with stock upper control arms, but you can go 3 inches with an aftermarket set. The Best way to get 3 inches would be to throw away that spacer and get this.

The "easiest" way would be lift blocks. Not the most popular here, but it is also the cheapest... somewhat.

Whenever someone is newer to the site and one of their first questions is, "What's the best lift?" or something similar, I always redirect them to what their intended purpose is for the truck. Everyone will have an opinion on what works best for them or what their money-is-not-an-option build, but that doesn't mean that it will work for you, or that you could afford it or even that you'd like it. Think about what you really intend to do with your tuck and what your budget is and what your timeline is for getting it there. Then you can think about what parts will best suit your needs. If you want the lift just for looks, then get blocks by all means- nothing wrong with that. You can get the lift you want for $50-70 or so and some labor. But if you plan on wheeling at all, I'd recommend going a different route, but that will take some research on your end. Talking to people in person will net you the most information that you just can't get from some dude typing with his thumbs on his phone. Since you're in SoCal, there is a pretty decent sized meet coming up where you'd be able to find a plethora of information if you can make it:

A lot of members will be there and you'll be better informed for attending. Plus it'll give you a chance to see some of these trucks in person so you can see what the parts look like on your own truck or give you ideas that you hadn't though of before. You can also talk to the owners and get their likes and dislikes for what setup they have or what they would do different if they did it over.
