I know you are not tryingto compare a Discovery to a 100 series Land Cruiser. I have driven a 100 series and none of what you described is the LC.

Pardon my hate then. I read over the OP too quickly. You should be perfectly content with a 100 series Land Cruiser. Have you thought about the new 4 runners with the 3rd row seats?

Well screw me over twice!!!!! A T-O-Y-O-T-A Land Cruiser. That makes sense now. Sometimes I need to be spoon fed.

No it's not you Discovery. It's all of the Discoveries. A friend of mind was the shop foreman at Land Rocer and he said the Discovery was the biggest POS ever produced. I never saw what the appeal wiu them was anyway. They look tiny in the inside. I can get a 2000 100 series for around 15k in good shape. I am looking at a 05' for 35k mint. It's a LNdCrjiser and they last forever. All the 100'w I have seen in my Land Cruiser club are amazing vehicles offroad and have tons of miles on them without any issues. The had mileage sucks though. Around 14 in the city.

Yeah, I edited my last post because I'm an idiot! I've heard nothing but good things about the Toyota Land Cruisers. Do they have 3 rows of seats or not? By the way, any chance of you shipping me some of those shrimp and grits? But, to answer your original question, I fit my 3 children in my double cab with no problem. I would think an access cab would be too small though. Sorry for the confusion!

Ahhhh no worries. Thank you for your participation. They have 3rd row sears but you have to fold down one side if he 2nd row to let the kids crawl back there. To me that stinks since my wife and I are use to the 2nd row seats in her Surburban being captains chairs. Not a big deal since I will not be transporting all 3 children at the same time often.
I'm keeping the shrimp and grits all to myself. You need to head down souh and get some good ole food.

I grew up in SC. I do miss the food but not the summers :). Sounds like you've got a good plan as far as transporting the kids. Hope it works out well!

Our summers are pretty unbearable but your winters are awful too. You went from one extreme climate to the next. Lol!!!!

We have an 11 yr old son and a 4 mo old daughter in my DC. Car seat is fine for the baby, but kinda gets cramped when it's in the center and the boy has to sit next to her. It beats my wife's corolla though.

Uno...as in ONE! Always said I'd never have chillins', but at 42 received a surprise package via the wifester......I'll be 56 this Friday, and the past 13 years have been the BEST I've enjoyed, even though he knows all there is to know, Mom and Dad need to "modernize", etc...enjoy them NOW, as they grow faster than one might imagine, and treat them well, and hopefully they will remember yer kindness, and perhaps be there for you when you get OLD!:p
