06 just turns over.... no start

My 06 4X4 will occasionally just turn over but will not start. When I turn the key off then try again all is ok. I can’t figure out any pattern IE cold start, hot start, full or empty tank of gas, parked up hill or down etc. Sounds to me like a spark problem. The dealer hadn't herd of this and said they would have to witness it before anything could be done. Well, the odds of the problem occurring under their watchful eye are slim to none. Any one have any Ideas???

 

take it back to the dealer and get them to reflash the ecu.....there is actually a tsb out for it.....intermittent or extended cranking tsb or something to that effect. the 06 i had did it, got the reflash done, and it did the trick.

 

Yep, get them to do the intermittent no start re-flash. FWIW: It's a requirement before flashing the ECU for a supercharger install as well.

 

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of times, i would turn the key and when i hear the engine catch on it then just stop.

 

same issue here. cranks fine, no run. sometimes works fine. once it runs it works fine...but probably once a day I will crank and crank and it will take like 5 tries before I can get it to run.

 

When's the last time the fuel filter was changed? Could also be a fuel pump issue lots of stuff to check
