in my case I am bow legged from the knee down the angle is very acute according to the ortho guy he is not sure he could do two. I was 32 when they went in and rebuilt it as best they could. Under the weight issue though still :}

It's better than not being able to move and be in pain the rest of your life.

my mom had both her knees replaced and she couldn't handle the rehab, so she never walked again. Think part of her issue was she'd been down for so long, that she physically couldn't do the rehab. One good thing, the knees didn't hurt.

Weesa's mom had her hip done last year and she didn't like the rehab....

i've never been to va for anything so idk if i'm even elligible. i do know that i had at least one of my previous tears when i was in the service

i thought you and weesa were related. or was that moose? idk about all this stuff sue as we're talking about the disability. i don't bragg about anything except my wife and daughters but i've busted my ass my entire adult life trying to provide for them with no concern for my health, or comfort. i'm having a real problem with the idea i can't work. yes i'm stubborn and it may come down to a doctor telling me i'm done but i just don't know. i don't feel defeated yet. i've been working with pain for a long time with my back and i am lucky to be able to pish through it every day. i'm nobody special but i've always been determined to live up to my commitments and providing for her is of my utmost importance.

My rehab was great. I scared the shit out of the therapist. Less pain day after surgery than before.
Off walker in 2 weeks. Off Cane one week after. 7 weeks later back at work, no restrictions except for work day length.

You are a very honorable man. But you deserve to live without pain and injuries caused by work. I'm sure your wife will agree that you need to find your limit and when you hit it, you need to quit @ that point. Look at it this way.... your job will replace you and go on.

I'm sure you are the exception and not the rule.... MIL did basically the same thing. She was up and around the next day.

Do you have a rating? If not it's not too late and, my experience wasn't bad. I started with a service officer at a vfw, then she sent me to a service officer with dav. We worked up my initial claims, they set me up an appointment with va, did a physical and got my ratings.
