Why the F is this shit so strict.

Also, how are people passing with the DB lifts and the fat tires? Every taco pic I see in Hawaii seems to be way out of spec for Hawaii recon.

 

What are your wheel specs?

 

Swap to stocks the day of recon/safety.

 

Does HPD pull you over and fuck with you?

I'm running 285s on stock TRD rims. Rub pretty good at full turn but got brand news spacers waiting on the bench. Scared to put them on.

I'm pretty sure the 285s will pass inspections, but it will be close.lol

 

This is a no brainer.....put the spacers on after you get recon.

 

Safety's a breeze. lucky they lenient with leds.

 

I didnt plan on putting them on before inspection, just scared about using them in general.

 

Sometimes they do sometimes they don't. If your rolling thought Waikiki it's a better chance that you will.

 

What's the penalty for getting caught?

 

Don't know about rubbing, if that does anything with passing recon

 

You'll be fine. I used to use .75" spacers to clear my 35's. I got my recon without them.

Just make sure your tire size you have on matches what you got your recon with when you get your safety check. And no spacers when you get safety'd.

 

Revoke recon and ticket

 

The wheels are 17x9 and the tires are 285/70/r17

 

yea, I'm going to put the lift on, get it aligned / recon

THEN put my wheels and tires on



side note: huge thanks to rrentrop for the inserts... got the door sills, glove box, and tailgate on today! waiting on my TRD Pro shift knob to arrive.....
