I forgot how much fun it is to drive a Toyota truck. My 85 had a 3" lift and 33's, bushwacker fender flares, smitty built everything and Rancho shocks.. I drove it for 2 years on AND off road with a rod knocking. I got exactly what I paid for it when I traded it in. I could fix everything on that 22r engine (except that knock). I was mad at my wife when she totaled my Dakota but I forgot all about it when I got behind the wheel of this one.

I think the man upstairs had a better plan for you. If you plan on lifting this one just don't go with rancho, there are far better options, for off road and daily driving.

If I lift it it wont be until I wear out these BFG AT's. The Rancho did pretty good but I have my eye on some other stuff for the future already. In 5 years this truck will be unrecognizable.

Maybe for an '85. The suspension will be different for these trucks. Typically the entry tier shocks are bilsteins (maybe on par with "ranchos"), mid tier OMEs, high tier fox/King/icon/ads
