Yes, both are OME Heavies. Only difference in the two is that mine has the OME extra leaf for the added weight in the
rear. Both also are running 285's. This one has 16's though, so 285/75r16s instead of the 285/70r17s that mine has on
    it.

Time for a couple of small updates:

I recently decided to add TRD Pro tail lights to Pongo

And added a vinyl insert on the hood:

The main reason for the vinyl is to help make the solar cell I planned on adding not
stick out like a sore thumb:

Thanks sir. With the 63 QT ARB fridge(packed) I got to the 3rd day camping in one spot before the low power cut off
disabled the fridge while in Idaho this past summer on the original equipment battery. I'm thinking this would be enough
to supplement the draw from the fridge and allow additional days if I choose that route. Soon, I'll be replacing the factory
battery with a NorthStar with higher reserve, but for now what I have works.

@dorton - If you have time, would you mind showing me where you made the connections for the ARB Clearance Lights and Turn Signal lights? There was no wiring guide provided with the instructions so I figured I'd ask before I got out the multimeter.

Also, are the included fog lights plug and play with the factory fog light wiring? Or will I have to cut and splice those also!

I'll be putting the bumper on this weekend and would like a little guidance on the wiring!

Thanks in advance for your help!

How did you mount the maxtrax mounting pins to your prinsu rack? Thanks

I'll get some visuals to post up of the lights and turn signals.

The fog light bulbs supplied with the bumper do not plug into the factory harness. I swapped the connectors onto the
    factory harness.

    Toyota part numbers used:
90980-11096 x2(the actual sockets. They do not come with the wires)
82998-12550 x4(the actual wires to go in the sockets)

You could go to a part store and save money, or order the correct socket online. They were in stock at my work, and didn't want to spent
the time to go hunt them or order them, so I used OEM parts.

Take your time on the bumper and it will go fine. A tip after doing 6 of them: Before you ever touch your truck, take everything out of the
boxes, and pre-assemble the trim, bumper pads, mesh insert, and fairlead. You can spend 2-3 hours(especially the first time) on the little stuff before you need
to turn a single bolt on your truck.

I've found my biggest issue with my Tacoma has been glare driving home from work, with the sunset bouncing off the hood. How reflective is this insert, how much did it cost, and where did you get it? I'm very interested in this, so any details help.

    Thank you!

Thank you so much! I've contacted a couple local dealers and I'm waiting to see if they have the part numbers in stock and available.

The bumper is being powdercoated right now and I'll pick it up Thursday for a Saturday install. Thanks for the words of advice on the installation. My biggest concern is making the cuts on the bumper/flares.

Looking forward to the pictures for the clearance lights and signals!

Just used the Maxtrax mounting pins, and drilled/installed them in the Prinsu Designs crossbars.

This build is some serious inspiration! Solar panel on the black vinyl was a great idea. I'd love to see a write up on your solar electrical set up and parts! Also did you purchase the vinyl pre-cut?

Thanks. The vinyl was done by a local guy, I've had some people contact me about it, and might could even get some made.

Just wanted to follow up again to see if you had a chance to grab the pictures of the connections for the signals and clearance lamps.

    Thanks!

    Basic overland stuff...
I'll give you $500 for the truck. All kidding aside JD runs Mid State Toyota's service department in Asheboro, NC and has been a huge help to our build. Excellent prices and a dealer that understands modified Tacomas.

I'd bet he can match the price for any ARB item you're looking for.

I have been looking forward to my ARB Safari Snorkel arriving for a while now. We received a shipment with them on Tuesday, so like a kid wearing a
new pair of shoes out of the store, I had to go ahead and put it on.

The install is easy(hardest part besides getting the nerve up to cut the hole, is removing the fender liner clips), and the fit/finish
is as you'd expect from and ARB product. I'm really happy with it.

Odd Question: What is the height of your truck? With rack, without tack?

Are you pleased with the ARB bumper, that is the one I wanted but I struggle with how far it sticks out in front of the wheels?
