This is a solid looking vehicle. If I didn't have my Cement Truck, I'd have one like this.

I feel the same way. At first I was disappointed I could not locate the identical truck in inferno. Then I found the bbp in another state. The minute I saw it on the lot the color just blew me away. I thought there would be bbp everywhere but I have only seen one other and it is a double cab TRD Sport. Oddly the owner lives 3 blocks from me. There is something about the color in the early morning or late afternoon sun that really shows the depth of this color. I never regretted the color choice. Wavey88 captured the color best in his recent post.

Wow, probably not many people would consider going from the new F150 to this truck.

Why did you make that decision? What do you like about the Tacoma better? What was better about the Ford? Have you had any reliability issues with the Tacoma so far?

This is particularly interesting to me because I'm considering trading in my RAM 1500 for the new Taco. I'm just not sure if I'll regret going to less space and less power. Of course the plus side is projected reliability, MPG, resale, and manual transmission.

I thought I'd always like the Off-road trim better than the Sport, but I'm really liking the Sport in BBP and the off-road in Inferno. I think the fender flare and bumper color match look great on BBP. The Inferno on the other hand looks better with the black fender flares.

Now if I can just find an OR Inferno or BBP Sport with the M/T I'd be in business!

Hey man I too went from a F150 to a Tacoma. There were no reliability issues with my old truck. I just thought it was too big hard to park . I'm really glad I made the change. I had the150 6 years and it served me well.

I concur. What about Quicksand? Which do you prefer? For me it's definitely the TRD OR with color matching bumper.

Along these lines, does anyone know where you can get the color matched bumper caps without the sensor holes/caps?

Many folks just take their chrome ones off and paint them.

Where do you get information about painting the chrome bumpers? Where would you have this done to match factory paint?

Just start dumpster diving through the forum. Make extensive use of search. Grills and bumpers are constantly getting repainted. If you have the time, several people have detailed it in the 'What Have You Done to Your 3rd Gen" thread. Warning - it's long.

Why did you miss your Tacoma so bad? What were you driving before you got the 16'?

Best looking BBP build I've seen. This is almost exactly what I'd do if I had one. It's making me second guess going with Inferno and OR! The color matches flares look great on this build.

If you can afford it, why not get the blazing blue o.e.m. ones from Toyota and just sell your chrome ones. At least you
don't have to worry about peeling.
