Help with Truxedo Lo Pro QT and OEM bed extender

Hey folks,

I purchased a Truxedo Lo Pro QT for my 2012 DCSB on craigslist and I also purchased an OEM bed extender off of craigslist. Shame on me for not doing my research.

Has anyone here successfully paired the two? Right now the bed extender is hitting the rail for the tonneau cover when I try to flip it up. I didn't see anything on their website marketing a different mounting bracket or solution to make it work.

I'm wondering if I collapse the bed extender a bit and shim out the mounting bracket to clear it if that will work. What to shim it with though? Washers? Wood? Bloody hell I just wanted this crap to work.

Suggestions or previous experience would be great. Let me know if you need pictures. I just took the cover off so I could put the damn truck back in the damn garage.

Shim the bracket for the bed extender out so you can shrink the extender should work

 

I made it work, used a 3/4" piece of black hard plastic that I got off Amazon so it's weather proof. The cover is on and the bed extender works like a charm.

What did u type in (search) on Amazon and how much did it cost?

 

I paid $150 for the cover and $75 for the bed extender so I figured $20 for some plastic to make it work was worth it. I have enough left to make another 4-5 sets if you need it.
