Actually, that makes me wonder. What about the South Korean M1s?

I inherited it from my Grandfather, so technically not the original owner. I like the idea of having an OEM part though.

I'm hoping the CMP gets to offer up a few new items as well.

Doubtful. Even after it's readily available again people will always have a tendency to hoard it after the last few years.

Technically speaking the .22 ammo drought was very brief and has been gone for a while. There's actually plenty of .22 ammo being produced and sold to go around.

The problem is that the ammo industry caught a glimpse of insane profit margins and created a vacuum on the supply just like self-siphoning beads. The supply, or lack thereof, created an increased demand by people hoarding the ammo. Then the supply is slowly increased, slowly enough that the demand doesn't fall back down like it would after a normal shortage. This creates a steady stream of increasing profit for ammo companies. This can stay that way until the demand for .22 ammo decreases, at which time we'll see the price fall and the whole thing will start over again (because people will start buying it up again).

    I'm bad at explaining things...

yeah it stinks to see $50 price tag on a 500 round box of .22's when it was at least half that price prior to the drought...

I think 22 ammo will come back and stay now.

Stores around here have CCI piled up by the shit-ton for .9-.10/rd. I doubt we are ever going to see .04/rd .22 any more than we are going to see 960 cans of M183 for $125 like the old days. Another factor keeping prices from dropping much will be that people are going to start shooting a lot more ammo rather than making ammo forts so demand should stay consistent.

Im almost blown away by this. 2 bullets in the same whole (nearly a 1/2" granted but still) at 100 yards in this lever gun. And only a 1/2" higher than my 25 yard 0. Moved 4 clicks right after those last 2 shots and called it done. Just propped on a saw horse with a bath towel for some cushion.

325 gr hornady leverevolution. Im amazed. The trigger on this gun is anything but ideal, id guess it close to 7 lbs, and i wont say i could put another in the same hole but 2 shots in a row did.

Does anybody use CheaperThanDirt? Good experience?

I am thinking about ordering some G17 mags and X-grips (fills the gap on the G17 mag when in a G19) for my G19. Any worthwhile upgrades on a Gen4 G19? Besides night sights or an extended slide release.
