    Pretty much stock...
    indeed.
    :stayontopic:

The only experiences i think belong in this thread are the Gen 3 Tacoma, maybe some anecdotes from other *Toyota* vehicles that have the Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) feature, but i dont see why we are comparing across manufacturers.

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
    Fuck the manual, it's wrong

TRD OR DO NOT HAVE THE HILL ASSIST AT ALL

    mystery solved

    Can anyone refute this?

So your ignorance, inability to understand what your vehicle is doing, and further inability to provide any shred of evidence to dispute what I'm saying is all the fault of my "poorly articulated post?" Nice evasion attempt.

I look forward to the day there's a pill to fix your kind of stupid.

Yup, this seems to be correct. Several OR owners have confirmed just now that their trucks do not behave the way Sports do.

I had this feature on a 94 subaru legacy with a 5 speed manual transmission and it would hold the car on any hill as long as you had the clutch pressed....I loved it

TRD OR 4x4 A/T here. Rolls back, makes bunch of terrible noises and flashes on the dash.

Can anyone confirm whether the TRD OR guys are supposed to have this or not?

First anything with hill assist. Didn't even know I had it until heard it mentioned and checked it out. I was killing the engine, maybe too fast on the clutch and the brakes were still holding. Changed my style and all is good.

Funny when folks "bitch" at each other on forums, adds to the entertainment value.

Actually that's incorrect. I just looked up the brochure. Hill Start Assist Control is on the TRD Off-Road for A/T only.

The proof is that there are no off-roads with hill start assist.

So Toyota is lying to everyone. Your proof seems legit.

I wouldn't use the word lying, but yes. It's an oversight on the brochure.
