Honestly, after seeing the blemish I thought the same thing.

The "blemishes" in mine arent noticeable from more than a foot away. Considering they spend most of the time covered in a layer of dirt and dust they're technically not noticeable at all. Wheels are a wear and tear item, as long as the blemish doesn't affect the structural integrity then I would at least consider them. I'm glad I did.

I recentley purchased my wheels from FN and could not be anymore pleased with both the product and Dustin's helpful, and very friendly advice. Like TacoMafia said "its worth that alone" and I agree 100% using my 2nd cap option now and dig it. I highly recommend giving him a call if your looking to by new Yota wheels!

3" lift King Coil over resi shocks 2.5" out back for now AP uppers. I was going to do 3.5 BS on my wheels but Dustin made the recommendation to go 4.1" and it has the perfect stance I was shooting for.

    Hey guys,

    1) So whats he verdict on Max tire spec we can run without any rubbing on stock Offroad suspension (no lift).

    275/70/17?

    2) and why coose FN vs Toyota trd pro?
17x8" Fn fx wheel vs 17x7.5" i assume the Toyota pro wheel.

I can't imagine how much money toyota has made off those freaking wheels!

    1. I'm running 265/70 r17 and do have a tiny rub with no lift. It is rubbing at full lock only when the tire is in the exact right spot. It is hitting the plastic fender well and i believe with a heat gun and hammer i can stop it completely. I have to compress the suspension at just the right amount. This happens on random occasion when i pull into driveways/parking lots at the right speed to randomly have it all come together at the right point with wheel turn and suspension compression. I cant say for sure but i believe 275/70 r17 may cause more issues but again i'm only running 265/70 r17.

    2. I chose FN for 3 reasons:

    1. 8" width over the OEM TRD wheels at 7"(or 7.5" but i believe its actually 7")
    2. Color options(no bronze from toyota)
    3. weight(FNW is atleast a few pounds lighter)

This thread is not talking about the Toyota TRD wheels. It is the FN Wheels F(x) Pro that are based off the Toyota TRD Wheels. But I do agree toyota is still selling a lot of their version and making some $$$.

I honestly didn't realize there were two versions much less two companies making them lol but its crazy to think about how much money is being made off these stock wheels. I personally decided to keep my OR stock wheels because I see these so much in Houston

Yeah Dustin @ FNW modeled them after Toyotas to provide 8" width to be "safer" running 285 and up tires. I know Dustin at FNW hooks his customers up a lot and struggles to keep any in stock. He still hasn't put them on his website because he cant keep them in stock.

Some people like the stock OR wheels. I personally think they are hideous and knew well before I had my truck that I was going to replace them as quickly as I could! I wish I liked the OR wheels cause it would have saved me money and allowed me to get other upgrades first.
