What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Installed the 6' iboard running board. Pretty simple and straightforward. Cost $220 on Amazon. Saved $600 on labor at the dealer!

Why drill holes and mount anything? Every truck comes with at least two bottle openers already in place. I've used them on numerous vehicles for years.

 

I took my '16 TRD DC in to the Toyota dealer to get my 5,000 mile check up. They kept me waiting 3 hours; I had made an appointment and stated what needed to be done. Finally after 4:00 p.m. they confessed they fried the ECU. They would not find me a truck to drive. The new ECU will take a week to get. I was given a snot green Camry with 50k miles and smoke odor. Not happy. I had taken their name off my Tacoma. I'm tooling around with five inch letters across the back window with their name and phone number. This is the dealer. Anybody got a better dealer in Richmond VA for service?

$600 labor? I installed a set of nerf bars which go on much like the running boards and it took 45 minutes!! How many hours of labor did they quote?

 

Added a TRD Offroad Auto Dimming Mirror with a compass to the base SR! Such a nice upgrade!! Thanks to @RichVT !

Wiring was not there and it's a TRD Offroad mirror I bought off of @RichVT and he gave me the wiring harness that he got with his new home link mirror!

Looks great! You might want to consider bigger bumpstops because the B110's may bottom out.

Yea That works too. But it's 2 tiny screws and it's in the box. Gives new meaning to tailgating. And mine looks way cooler haha

Haley has a pretty bad rep as a service department. When I moved here I took my 4Runner there a few times (recognize your username from T4R btw!) until I learned the hard way; not even going to touch how they treat my wife there. I go to Mechanicsville Toyota exclusively now. They're out of the way but I trust them and my SA there way more.

There's a reason it's called the stealership. I will never buy anything from the dealer, they'll never see a cent of my money after my purchase. The only thing they're good for is warranty. It's very unlikely I'll ever take advantage of Toyota care either.
