Front and rear, I want to keep the standard truck rake. Whatever I lift in the front, I want to lift in the rear within a 1/2" or so.

So I'll ask you guys cause I respect most of your opinions on stuff.

Thoughts on moving away to a city where you know nobody for a mediocre/entry level job?

Got a job offer in Evansville, 1 year contract with potential for rehire afterwards, ~2.5 hrs from home. Don't know a single person that lives there except Levi being nearby. Job doesn't pay extremely well but it is a foot in the door for what I went to school for and an industry where experience is nearly paramount. I'll be an employee of the IT recruiting agency rather than the company I'll be doing work for. Will have to live by myself too.

I've done that a few times. If the job is going to lead you somewhere you want to go, and can't get the experience wherever home is. I'd say go for it. If you give it an honest go and it doesn't workout for you, you've got a pickup, moving home is not that hard...

Take the leap. Just be careful. Learn all you can and take nothing for granted. Just do what feels smartest to you. Weigh the pros and cons on a written list if you have to. Its not an easy decision but if its in your field of study, i say gopher et

You gotta do what you gotta do to get what you want. I can assure you that your dreams will not come looking for you. If this is a step in that direction, absolutely do it.

My family and friends are too important where I live to leave... yet any way... so I have always looked for more opportunities where I live, and have accomplished those trials from networking and not giving up. Keep moving on and up.
If you have the ability and drive to travel, go baby go!
2.5 hours is an easy drive on the weekends to still hangout with people you know. And this will give you time To meet new people and Establish new networks.

    Best of luck

Mike, i know others have chimed in already but the bilsteins wont lead you astray. nearly all of us ran 5100's at some point, front and rear. for the rear, get the extended ones and also get an add a leaf (AAL) with 3* shim to keep vibrations away. This route, with black friday deals, can afford you to also get UCA's which would further benefit the front susp after stock. I STILL have my 5100's sitting in my garage incase I need a quick substitute for a blown Fox or something. I know my front shocks alone were 1600 reg price, so if you are looking at 1500 total, I think your best, most beneficial purchase is the bilsteins. you may be able to get away with entry level, IFP shocks from fox, 2.0's maybe during black friday but if you got them all the way around and leafs there'd be nothing left for UCAs.

just my 2 cents thrown in there.

Yeah you won't be getting front and rear high end suspension for $1500. Icon progressive 3 leaf aal or Dakar aal plus longer 5100s for the rear. 5100s, eibach springs and Camburg ball joints ucas for the front will have you under $1500

It's hard to play the "what if" game. You may move there and love the job but hate your life or vice versa. What if the day you moved you got a job offer from something local that was a much better job and could've catapulted you to being a multi millionaire but they said nevermind since you don't live local anymore. My "opinion" is live more in the moment and don't try and plan out your whole life ahead of time. Everything happens for a reason, whether that be good or bad, so just roll with it. This could turn into the best decision you've ever made or completely destroy your future. I say we find out ....

And 2.5 hrs away is still pretty close to home if you need a hug from a loved one. Or just go see Levi more often. He loves hugs.
